Farewell.

Uhhh, hi t-there.

It's me, konakonaa.

You might have missed me. I haven't uploaded anything for a while. I have actually tried to do some 3, or 4, or 5 or perhaps even more tracks/covers, but never managed to finish any of them.

But I'm not here to talk about that. It's unfortunate, and it's hard to say this, but I'm giving you farewell. I've decided I'm going to delete this channel.

Among other reasons, I am planning to terminate my Google account, and I also want to get rid of the public traces of my old activity in the internet - this channel is 11 years old and I was a very, very different person when I originally started it. I see it as a burden I've been carrying for too long and I want to leave it behind and eventually start fresh again.

Now, don't panic - I don't plan to just leave the chiptune community forever. But I'm not sure whether I can promise I'll come back to Youtube or chiptune soon. Things have been becoming pretty rough for me, with emotional issues and some serious real-life problems to deal with. I do wish to come back to producing chiptune and making videos some day, though, as well as working on other projects related to the chiptune community.

As for my stuff, I'm providing some links in the video description to a pack containing all modules I've ever released here, as well as a pack containing all of the lossless recordings published along with the videos. I'd upload the actual lossless renders for each video too, but I don't think I have enough Google Drive quota for that.

The song you're listening to in the background is an unreleased original OPL2 track of mine. It doesn't have a name. I made it around March 2018 and just never released it for some reason. Its mood seems surprisingly fitting for a farewell, though.

I'll be around, looking out, trying to keep up with the community... listening, watching. I'll come back some day, perhaps. I can't promise I'll come back under the konakonaa handle, though. The Internet isn't always the kindest of places, and I know there's some people out there that might try to track me down. I have unfortunately left too many breadcrumbs out there. I was naive and didn't clean up after myself. I'd rather not think or ramble too much about it right now, though.

The channel is going down in a few days. I figured I should give everyone some time to get the message. Should you want to contact me for some reason, even if you just want to say hello, you can send me an e-mail at the address listed in the video description. I promise I'll try to read every single e-mail I get, though I can't promise I'll answer all of them.
