No matter who you are, you’ve probably fantasized about dating your favorite celebrity at some time in your life. While we’re not suggesting that this is even remotely possible, sometimes being at the right place at the right time can do wonders for you both, just like it did for the fans below.
So, Bright Side found out which fans got lucky in long term relationships and/or marriage with their favorite celebrity and this gave us the ultimate #couplegoals.
1. Justin Bieber with Hailey Baldwin
When Hailey was younger, she was a huge Jelena (Justin and Selena) fan. After the duo broke up, Hailey and Justin met for the first time when they were introduced by her dad. They have had an on again, off again dating relationship since 2014, and they made things official with a courthouse wedding in 2018 and had their reception in 2019 in South Carolina.
2. Kim Kardashian West with Kanye West
Kanye was a huge fan of Kim Kardashian before they began dating. He just knew he’d be her man for a long time, as he claimed in an interview. Once, he drew himself on the Kardashian Christmas card and he mispronounced her name saying, “Kard-dijon” when they met for the first time. They got married in a lavish Italian wedding, and have 4 kids named North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Jessica met Cash during the production of Fantastic Four in 2004 where he was a production assistant. Cash had been a fan of Jessica’s for years, and they eventually got married and had 3 kids.
4. John Travolta with Kelly Preston
Even though both are famous stars, Kelly had a huge crush on John the moment she saw the movie poster for Grease. She knew that she was going to marry that man and now they have been happily married since 1991!
In 2002, Matt was working on a movie called Stuck on You in Miami. One night he went into the bar where Luciana Barroso worked. “I literally saw her across a crowded room, literally,” he told Ellen DeGeneres about the night they met. And now they’ve been happily married since 2005 and have 4 kids together.
Jim Toth worked in an agency that promoted Reese’s work. So, technically you could call him a paid fan. Both are now happily married and have a son together.
7. Billie Joe Armstrong with Adrienne Nesser
Billie met his wife at one of his concerts, and she was a huge Green Day fan. They got married in 1994 and have 2 sons together. You never know, you might just end up meeting your partner at a concert. Never give up hope!
8. Patrick Dempsey with Jillian Fink
Jillian Fink was super excited when Patrick Dempsey booked an appointment with her for a haircut in 1994. She found him cute and was constantly flirting with Patrick. They got married in 1999 and have 3 kids together named Tallula, Darby, and Sullivan.
9. Steve Harvey with Marjorie Bridges
Steve and Marjorie met in a Memphis Comedy club where Harvey approached her and said, on stage, “I don’t know who you are, but I am going to marry you.”
Danny was a huge fan of Julia’s, and how could he not be. He acted as the cinematographer in her movie The Mexican, and they really bonded during the filming. They got married in 2002 and try to keep a relatively low profile.
11. Jerry Seinfeld with Jessica Sklar
Though Jessica never really bragged about her husband’s fame, she became famous on her own by writing cookbooks and running charities. The couple met while working out at a gym in 1998. She dumped her first husband, despite just returning from her honeymoon, in favor of the comedian. Jerry and Jessica got married in 1999, and have 3 kids together.
12. Christian Bale with Sibi Blazic
Bale wasn’t planning on getting married until he met Winona Ryder’s personal assistant and changed his mind. Sibi and Christian instantly hit off and got married in 2000.
13. Adam Sandler with Jacqueline Titone
Sandler’s career was paramount when he met his partner, Jackie Titone. She had been looking for a big break, when she was cast in Sandler’s Big Daddy. They also had many mutual friends together. They began dating and tied the knot in 2003, and have 2 kids together: Sadie and Sunny.
14. Prince William with Kate Middleton
At the age of 13, while Kate was attending college, it was rumored that she had a poster of Prince William on her wall. The duo met a few years after. They tied the knot in 2011, and have 3 kids together: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
15. Anne Hathaway with Adam Shulman
Anne met her producer husband in 2008 through a mutual friend. As it turned out Shulman was already a huge fan, and who wouldn’t be? They had an undeniable chemistry and soon, they became inseparable. They married in 2012, and have a child together. Here’s an interesting bit of trivia. Did you know that Adam Shulman is Shakespeare’s doppelganger? On top of this, Shakespeare’s wife’s name was Anne Hathaway too. History always finds a way to repeat itself.

The following 15 celebs have dated, are dating, or are open to dating their fans.
By Cailyn Cox Published Dec 19, 2017
Being famous is definitely not easy because these individuals are not able to do a lot of things that us normal people can do — and that includes dating. Dating is made even more difficult for people who are living their life in the public eye, and the added pressure of having someone watch your every move definitely seems to make it harder to maintain a healthy relationship. Every week there seems to be a new celebrity couple calling it quits.
And then, there is probably the difficulty of finding someone who you are even compatible with, and someone who doesn’t just want you because you’re famous, which is probably why most celebs swear off dating fans. But not all do, and below are 15 celebs who are totally open to dating their fans.
In 2017, John Travolta and Kelly Preston reportedly made the shocking decision to split, after a 26-year marriage (which is long for anyone, but an eternity in Hollywood terms). The couple were married in 1991, and share three children together, but their love story first began when they met on set for the film, The Experts, in 1989.
While Preston became famous in her own right, she was apparently a big fan of Travolta before meeting him, even being a fan in her teens.
According to Starpulse, long before the pair were romantically involved, Preston had stated that she was going to marry Travolta. She is quoted as saying, “I did have sort of a flash. I came out of a film, saw the poster for Grease and I knew I’d be with him. I just knew. I was about 16 years old. I really knew it and it turned into, ‘I’m going to marry that man,’ and so he likes to tease me that I walked out and said, ‘I’m going to marry that man,’ and then did, ultimately."
Perhaps the most well-known case of a celebrity dating a fan is Jake T. Austin who decided to finally give his long-time superfan, Danielle Caesar, a chance. The actor is famous for his role as Max Russo in Disney’s Wizard of Waverly Place, and for five years before he started to date Caesar, she had been tweeting him with messages about how amazing he was. She even stated that they would be getting married, although he didn’t know it yet.
Yet, despite this girl clearly being hopelessly in love with him, T. Austin decided to give her a shot, and in 2016 he confirmed that they were a couple. He told People magazine at the time, “We’re young and having fun just getting to know each other. It doesn’t matter how you meet someone – on set, in a coffee shop, at school or in the business. Sometimes you connect with people at the right moment and you just click.”
Joe Jonas may have found the real love of his life now with Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner (the pair recently got engaged in October of 2017). However, before finding love with Turner, Jonas dated a string of beautiful women and was never short of attention.
But he was also open to dating fans, which he revealed during an interview with Vulture in 2013. He said, "And, yes, I've dated fans. I can't say that I've never put a foot in that world; there were times when I definitely took advantage of the opportunities I had. I remember I invited a fan to a movie, and we just made out the entire time. I don't even remember what the movie was about. I must have been 16 or so."
Kanye West is a famous guy, who could probably have his pick from millions of females, but in this case, it wasn’t the rapper who dated a fan but the other way around. Yes, I am talking about Kim Kardashian, who her now-husband Kanye was crazy for long before they started dating in 2012.
According to Huffington Post, the pair apparently first crossed paths in 2003, when Kardashian was working as a stylist for Brandy, but she was dating her brother Ray J at the time. And it seems that over the years, the couple had a lot of random meetings but the timing was just never right.
In 2013, West hinted that he was always in love with her during an interview with Ryan Seacrest. He told the host, “I just knew I wanted her to be my girl for a long time. I remember I saw a picture of her and Paris Hilton, and I remember telling my boy, ‘Have you seen that girl Kim Kar-dijon?’” Awww.
Taraji P. Henson is loved by many people across the world, especially since her role as Cookie Lyon in the FOX series, Empire. And nowadays she’s incredibly happy and has found love with former NFL cornerback Kelvin Hayden (it was recently announced that the pair has been dating for two years). But before Hayden was on the scene, P. Henson hinted that she once dated a fan.
According to Page Six she said, “I don’t want an actor. I want a life partner. A real one. I had a guy, but cut to the chase. He was starstruck. They fall for the lady on-screen.” She continued, “Face it, I don’t wake up looking like Beyoncé. I think I’ll have to start hunting abroad. Maybe get off the Northern Continent. I know you just cannot have two narcissists together.”
Although she didn’t give details about the relationship or the name of the fan, the fact that she said he was “star struck” is a clear indication that he definitely knew all about her before they got together.
Steve Harvey and his wife Marjorie (who is almost 20 years younger) have been married since 2007, and they are rumored to have met at one of his shows. She was clearly a fan of his if she was at his show, but that feeling was mutual within seconds.
According to Essence, in 1990, the pair met at a Memphis comedy club. Harvey was onstage and when he saw her walking into the room he said, “I don’t know who you are but I’m going to marry you.” The pair reportedly dated briefly, but then Steve reportedly just disappeared because he wanted to focus on his career.
The publication quotes him as saying, "Before a man can be of use to a woman...he's got to know who he is, what he does and how much he's going to make." However, years later, and after his divorce from his second wife in 2005, the pair reportedly reconnected.
Lee Ryan is one of the members of the British boy band, Blue (who were pretty popular in the early 2000s). He reportedly met his fan, Samantha Millar, after she contacted him on MySpace and began sending him suggestive photos. It clearly worked, because the pair were together for seven years (and reportedly engaged for two years). They also share a son!
But things ended very badly. In 2010, Ryan made headlines for allegedly attacking Millar while in a car in the West End of London. Assault charges were rumored, which according to the BBC, he denied, and according to The Telegraph were later dropped. However, in 2014, according to The Sun, Millar spoke out about the relationship and claimed that Ryan had been unfaithful and also mentally abusive. She said, “He had a horrible temper. But the worst was the mental abuse. I’d be crying and asking him for help and he’d say, ‘Look at you, you’re so ugly when you cry.’ He would tell me I was ugly inside and out. That I was the nastiest person he’d ever met.”
If you’re a Cody Simpson fan and have been dreaming about one day getting the possibility to make him your man, well, there is a chance that that could happen. According to J-14, he told Disney Dreaming that he's apparently open to dating fans, saying, "Yeah, I would [date a fan]! I wouldn't limit myself by saying I wouldn't date someone."
While he may be open to dating someone who fancies him because of his music, that doesn’t mean that he will definitely end up dating someone who is not famous, because in recent years Simpson has been linked to a string of very famous women, including supermodel Gigi Hadid, Bella Thorne, and actress Stella Hudgens. He was even rumored to have once romanced Kylie Jenner.
The Hanson brothers are all really, really good looking, and in the ‘90s they were heartthrobs. But even if you didn't have posters of the brothers hanging on your wall, you probably knew (and loved) their track “MMMBop.” Well, there are three other people who loved that track, too, and actually ended up marrying the brothers after meeting them in concert.
Isaac, Taylor, and Zac, met their wives at their concerts, which Zac revealed during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. He said, “We met all our wives at [Hanson] concerts, believe it or not. We were in Atlanta, and my wife got invited by somebody who was workin’ for us, and she brought Taylor’s wife.”
Taylor immediately started dating his wife Natalie Anne Bryant, but at the time that Zac met his now-wife Kathryn Tucker, he was with someone else, so they didn’t get together right away. As for Isaac? He spotted his wife in the crowd and thought she was adorable, he even had the stage manager go stop her from leaving.
In 2002, Conan O’Brien married Liza Powel, and their love story is probably the cutest one on this list. Powel was a fan of O’Brien’s show and was in the crowd while he was filming a 2000 taping of Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and for O’Brien, something remarkable happened during that taping, because when he caught sight of his wife he fell in love.
He reflected on that moment in an interview with Piers Morgan, saying, “Somewhere, in the vault at NBC, there’s footage of me literally falling for my wife on camera.” He continued, explaining that she caught his attention because she is “incredibly beautiful.” And 15 years on, the couple still appear to be very happy together and share two children.
This is the point on our list where millions of women are going to be made incredibly happy, because one of the world’s most stylish and talented men is open to dating someone who is a fan. Former One Direction singer turned actor, Harry Styles, said he would date a fan, according to the publication M-magazine.
The outlet quotes him as saying, "I would date a fan. I think if you like someone, then you like them anyway, whether they're a fan or not. I don't think that would change how you felt. If they were a fan of the group, I think if anything that'd be a bonus." That’s definitely a smart approach to have when it comes to dating, because if you’re limiting yourself, then you could miss out on the chance of finding true love — or the chance to make a fangirl very, very happy!
Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong met his wife Adrienne Nesser at a concert. According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the pair met in 1990 in Minneapolis, Minnesota where Green Day had been performing. The couple were married in 1994, and now share two sons, Joseph and Jakob.
While there's not much known about the couple’s relationship, what we do know is that Armstrong values his wife, and this was made clear during a 2013 interview with Rolling Stone magazine when he discussed his alcoholism and addiction to prescribed medication.
One of his motivations for getting sober seemed to be for his family, because the singer spoke about his wife being a “strong woman” and said he was sure it was hard on her watching him go through this. He also said that there were some choices she had to make, and when pressed to elaborate he said, “Am I going to get kicked to the curb? I'm sure the thought crossed her mind — that if I didn't get sober, I could potentially lose all of that stuff. I could have lost the band, too. I didn't realize how destructive I was…”
Maureen Starkey Tigrett (born Mary Cox) met The Beatles drummer Ringo Starr at The Cavern Club where the band was playing. She was one of his many fans, but Starr clearly took notice of her, because in 1963 she went with him to Greece, and in 1965, the couple were married when Tigrett was aged 18.
Their marriage lasted 10 years, before ending in divorce in 1975, and according to reports, among the reasons was Starr’s alleged affair with model Nancy Lee Andrews.
In 1988, Tigrett gave an interview about her relationship to French publication, Le Chroniqueur (via Wogew blogspot), saying that when Starr first asked her out she was excited. She continued, “Here I was, a silly 16-year-old hairdresser dating the most popular drummer in Liverpool. Our first date was a little silly. We just walked around the block for a while, gossiping and talking because he had to go back in the Cavern and play again. After a couple of months, I began to realize that I was infatuated with him.”
Luke Hemmings, the guitarist from Australian rock band 5 Seconds of Summer, surprised many when he revealed that he saw no problem with dating fans. Seventeen magazine quotes him as saying, "Yes I'd date a fan. People talk about fans like they're mystical creatures, but they're just normal people."
He gave a similar answer in a 2014 interview with MTV News, saying, “Yeah, fans are just people who happen to like our music” — which in some ways is probably a bonus.
And while fellow bandmate Michael Clifford didn’t go into detail about whether he would date a fan or not, he did tell Seventeen that if she were to fill his house “with alligators” then he would be very surprised, but in an awesome way. Um, so I guess that’s what you have to do if you intend to win over his heart, fans!
Kelsey Grammer has been married four times in his life, and Kayte Wash is his fourth wife. According to Grammer, he met Walsh, a flight attendant on a plane in December of 2009, and according to Daily Mail, he told Jimmy Kimmel Live that they instantly connected (but it seems that at the time, he was still married to ex-wife, Camille Grammer).
He said, “We actually met in the air on a plane to England. It was very romantic, she was working on the plane. We went out for coffee several days later and had this magical night in the snow in London around Christmas time. It was two years ago.”
They married in 2011, just 15 days after his divorce was final. While I can’t be sure for certain if Walsh was a superfan, she was a normal person and I
