“I am completely shocked,” the pregnant Counting On alum, 25, said in a Friday, November 18, YouTube video. “I 100 percent thought that it was a girl, convinced myself that it was a girl [and] Austin thought it was a girl, so I was like, ‘It’s definitely a girl.’ … It’s crazy. Anyway, I’m so happy [and] I can’t believe it.”
Duggar and Forsyth, 28, found out the special news with a dart game , where they tossed arrows at a row of balloons that had been filled with blue confetti and powder. The twosome were joined by members of their large brood , including son Gideon, 4, daughter Evelyn, 2, her parents — Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar — and sisters Jill Duggar and Jana Duggar .
Joy-Anna — who married Forsyth in May 2017 — confirmed last month that she is pregnant.
“We are ECSTATIC and cannot wait to hold this sweet baby in our arms in May [2023]! We would appreciate your prayers these next 7 and [a] half months for a safe pregnancy and delivery,” the TLC personality said in a YouTube video on October 5 . “Keep up with our new videos as we tell Gideon and Evelyn, our parents and siblings.”
While the Arkansas native and Forsyth love doting on their little ones , they’ve also been candid about their fertility struggles . Joy-Anna suffered a pregnancy loss in July 2019 , later revealing that they named their stillborn daughter Annabell Elise.
Joy-Anna was expecting Annabell at the same time that sisters-in-law Kendra Duggar (née Caldwell), Abbie Duggar (née Burnett) and Lauren Duggar (née Swanson) were also pregnant.
“Meeting the babies, I feel like that may be hard,” she told Us Weekly exclusively in November 2019 . “But it’s not like I’m upset that I’ve lost my baby. I still am excited for them. But you think, ‘What would my baby look like? What would she be like?’”
Joy-Anna continued at the time: “But I was praying that the Lord would help me be excited for them. And I can honestly say that … I’m super excited for them. But I try and ask them a lot how they’re doing, how they’re feeling because this is an exciting time. They have little blessings that they’re adding to their family.”
Kendra, 24, shares three kids with husband Joseph Duggar , while Abbie, 32, welcomed baby No. 2 with John David Duggar in October. Lauren, 30, for her part, shares Bella with husband Josiah Duggar .
Joy-Anna revealed eight months later that she was expecting her rainbow baby. Evelyn was born in August 2020.
“To say my heart is full is an understatement,” Joy-Anna and Forsyth told Us in a statement at the time . “We have been dreaming of this day and are so happy to announce that our baby girl arrived. … She has the best personality, is easy going and loves to be held! She has her nights and days mixed up, but honestly, I love it! Getting to spend that quiet, quality time with her through the night has been SO special!”

The Molitor family is getting a baby girl!
In an emotional Instagram post on Sunday, mom of six Sarah Molitar, creator of the Modern Farmhouse Family lifestyle blog, and husband Tim revealed the moment they learned the sex of their seventh baby on the way.
The couple holds confetti cannons as they stand with their six sons — Jude, Hudson, Chase, Crew, Beck and Griffy — in their home. The boys wear matching sweaters and join their parents in bursting into excited screams as pink confetti exits the cannon.
Sarah falls to the ground while holding her youngest, both laughing and crying at the same time.
Excited chatter and cheers can be heard by the family's loved ones in the room, who are not shown on camera. One person asks Sarah, who is catching her breath and processing the exciting news, if she thought it could be possible, to which she shakes her head and says no.

"It's a girl," Tim repeats, laughing in disbelief as one of the boys runs into Sarah's arms.
Speaking with PEOPLE about her exciting news, Sarah says she's had "joy and peace this entire pregnancy."
"To this point, we had fully expected and were thrilled at the thought of baby 7 being a boy. Seven boys is so unique and special. So right before the confetti came out, our hearts were just ready and expecting another boy," she explains. "Which is why the pink took us by such surprise."
The soon-to-be mom of seven says she was "processing two big emotions" as she realized she'd finally add a baby girl to her family.
"The first being that I was no longer an all boy mom and the second being that I was having a girl! The emotions just took over, and I was shaking with surprise! It has been a shock all around but such a sweet unexpected gift to us!" she adds.
Some of the most excited people in the family are the baby girl's big brothers. "The boys can't stop talking about her and we have lots of newness to experience with a little girl to love on," Sarah shares.
When it was time to tell their six boys that they were getting another sibling, Tim and Sarah had their kids complete a word puzzle to figure out the news.
The boys worked together to solve the puzzle, which ultimately read, "Mommy is going to have a baby!"
"Telling our boys I'm pregnant was a highlight moment! It was so full of JOY and excitement. Make sure you watch when Jude starts to realize it…and then Hudson's face when he realizes! Priceless!" Sarah wrote on Instagram . "One thing's for sure, this sweet baby is already WELL loved and adored! Thanks for continuing to share in our joy and the fun of this news!"

Taylor Camp resident Diane Daniells built this tree house with lumber from an old plantation camp house.
Where the road ends on Kauai’s north shore, a group of hippies in the early 1970s lived in an off-grid Hawaii community of tree houses, grew their hair long, smoked weed and chose to go nude. Taylor Camp, as it would become known, was named after Kauai resident Howard Taylor, the brother of actress Elizabeth Taylor. Howard owned the 7 acres of land in Haena, a scenic coastline of white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and a tropical abundance of streams, caves and green cliffs. It was in 1969 that Howard welcomed homeless men, women and children to live on his beachfront property, with no rules or rent to pay. “We’ve had no trouble,” Howard said in a 1970 Honolulu Star-Bulletin article. “Most of them are just here while they make up their minds to return to the ‘Establishment’ world and what they want to do there.”
The 1960s arrival of hippies to Kauai was the island’s introduction to Western counterculture, people who defied societal norms — and there were many members of the public and politicians who complained and hated the camp’s existence. In its heyday, Taylor Camp’s population grew to about 100 people, living in about two dozen structures. People continued to live there until 1977, when the county raided it and burned the houses to the ground.
Located on the north shore of Kauai, Taylor Camp was situated on Limahuli Stream in Haena, a coastline with white sandy beaches and turquoise waters.
When Howard moved to Kauai, he never expected to create a hippie community. He had been living on Oahu, working at the University of Hawaii, and fell in love with the Garden Island. He bought the beachfront property in Haena, moved his family to Kauai, and planned to build a home for his wife and five kids.
“He was an oceanographer and cartographer, and he was an extremely talented artist,” photographer John Wehrheim tells SFGATE on a call from Bhutan. Wehrheim knew Taylor and visited the camp many times. He published a book and produced a documentary film on Taylor Camp, interviewing and photographing many of its residents. “They bought the property, couldn’t get a building permit, no one would tell him why. They were giving him the old local-style stall,” continues Wehrheim. “He eventually found out that the state had plans to create a state park out of that land, cause you know where it is, it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world.”

Left in limbo with no way forward, Howard bought land elsewhere on the island and abandoned his Haena land, until he found a purpose for it in 1969. It was then that he learned that 13 hippie campers, men, women and children, were arrested on the island for vagrancy at a beach near Lihue after overstaying their permit. A judge sentenced all of them to 90-day jail sentences.
“These folks were from Berkeley — I think there were thirteen — they were having a lot of problems,” Tommy Taylor, Howard’s son, said in Wehrheim’s book. “My dad was concerned for these folks. Local guys were beating them up. I think one of the women had been raped and there were a lot of letters to the editor saying, ‘We ought to put them on a plane and send them back where they came from.’” Wanting to help and, as some accused, out of spite, Howard and his wife picked them all up from the jail and took them to his Haena property to live. He enjoyed the company of the campers, some of whom were highly educated. “The campers wanted to escape the Mainland, the political situation, the Vietnam War. They were dropping out, trying to get away and these people found Kauai,” Tommy said.
Elizabeth Taylor visited Howard on Kauai during the Christmas of 1969; that was the last time Howard was seen at the camp. Soon, word spread about Taylor Camp. People from around the world found themselves there, sometimes by happenstance, other times by word of mouth.
Diane Patalano and Richie Palumbo lived in a tree house at Taylor Camp.
The original 13 did not stay long, but a new wave of people took their place, including hippies, surfers, vets, a doctor and lawyers, who kept the camp going and created its free-spirited lifestyle. “It was a great experimental living situation. There were no
