To me Dead Money kind of felt like the only really meaningful bit of Fallout New Vegas. I liked all of the characters in it and even though I think that I achieved everything I wanted to achieve in it, it really filled me with sadness when I was done with it.

after reading through the wikia I learned that both veronica and Christine were in a same sex relationship but were both split up from their respective partners by Elijah. I think at this point it can be safely assumed that they were both together, thinking on this it adds another level of depth into the writing of New Vegas particularly that of dead money. am I right in assuming this?

Christine Royce is a former member of the Mojave Chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel, working as a scribe. She formed a relationship with fellow Scribe Veronica Santangelo, the two being lovers, until the elder, Father Elijah, had her exiled to separate the two.
Veronica Santangelo claims that Father Elijah used his status to break up she and her partner, who then left the Brotherhood of Steel. Christine Royce says nearly the exact same thing, that she has a vendetta against Father Elijah for using his status to split her up from someone she loved, and that she then left the Brotherhood.
