Curie stands out among the quirky companions in Fallout 4, so players looking to get close to this affable automaton will find it easier with a guide.
Fallout 4 is replete with wacky, unique characters for the player to befriend, fight, or even romance. However, not all companions are created equal, so for fans who want to find Curie, one of the 15 best companions in Fallout 4 , it can be worthwhile to know what they’re getting into. 
Curie is a modified Miss Nanny robot, a variant on the Mister Handy robots that Fallout 4 fans know all about . Recruiting her requires completing a quest, and getting on her good side means that the player character must be on their best behavior. 
For the player to find this Fallout 4 companion , they must first locate Vault 81 to initiate the quest “Hole in the Wall.” Even though Curie typically hates selfish behavior, she will request to accompany the Sole Survivor regardless of whether they decide to cure Austin (a sick little boy) or let him die.
Once Curie is a companion, she will use her built-in buzzsaw and laser gun during combat unless the player transfers her personality and memory into a synth body during the “Emergent Behavior” companion quest. This Fallout 4 quest becomes available once the Sole Survivor reaches an affinity of at least 250 points with Curie. It’s important to note that her affinity cannot increase past 499 points until completing this quest, regardless of the number of “Curie liked that”/“Curie loved that” notifications that the player may receive. Also of note is that points aren’t visible to players without the use of console commands.
One of the common misconceptions about Fallout 4 is that choices don't matter, but the companion system demonstrates how that's untrue. To increase affinity with Curie, the Sole Survivor must strive to be generous and peaceful throughout the Commonwealth. Choosing the “nice” dialogue options is a great way for the player to improve their relationship with Curie, but curiously, “mean” dialogue options can often help as well. Some additional positive and negative choices include:
In addition to these recurring choices, there are quest-specific, one-time decisions that can substantially impact the player character’s relationship with Curie, as long as she is a companion when these choices are made. However, players wishing to avoid any potential spoilers may want to skip ahead.
Additionally, once enough quests have been completed for the Brotherhood of Steel or the Institute, both factions request that the Sole Survivor destroy The Railroad completely. Players should note that Curie hates it if they choose to fulfill this request.
Once players have reached the maximum affinity with Curie (1000 points), they will receive her companion perk, “Combat Medic.” This perk allows the Sole Survivor to be healed by 100 Hit Points (HP) - once per day - immediately upon falling below 10% HP. 
Finally, maximum affinity unlocks romance options with Curie, who holds the honor of being one of the highest-ranked romances in Fallout 4 . Once the dialogue options become available, players can choose to attempt the Speech check challenges required to “Flirt” with her. Successfully passing each Flirt challenge unlocks the “Romance” challenge, after which Curie falls in love with the Sole Survivor. With Curie seduced, the Sole Survivor can gain the “Lover’s Embrace” perk (+15% experience points for 12 hours) any time they sleep in a bed with Curie present.
However, players should note that Charisma is pretty important when building affinity with Curie. It's certainly used to succeed in the necessary Speech checks, but it's also quite handy when trying to resolve conflict peacefully. Players can create the ultimate Charisma build for their Fallout 4 character if they wish to make the task of romancing Curie easier. Either way, though, it will be much easier than romancing Strong.

Curie is first introduced in the Fallout franchise in Fallout 4 . Her full name is Contagions Vulnerability Robotic Infirmary Engineer (CVRIE) which is then stylized into Curie.
Curie can be recruited after you completed the Vault 81 and Hole in the Wall side quests.
Curie is a combat medic, her perk grants automatic healing of 100 points, once a day, when you reach the 10% threshold. Every few days, Curie will prepare "Curie's healthpak" and give it to the player.
Curie was made to be the Guardian of Vault 81. Her primary objective is to preserve the findings of Vault 81’s scientists. Her other objective is to ensure that every single one of the Vault’s dwellers is aware of the importance of their mission.
After the Overseer’s sabotage of the Vault resulted in the scientists locking themselves in the research wing, Curie becomes their successor. The scientists completed their research until they all died with Curie being the sole survivor. Curie continued the work of the scientists.
Curie finished the research, able to concoct the broad-spectrum cure against any pathogen from mole rats. When the player finally arrives, she exploited the loophole in her programming and escape from the Vault.
These quests will be completed organically since you are in the same area anyway. While Hole in the Wall is the quest that nets you Curie, you will also inevitably complete the Vault 81 quest.
Vault 81 is located on the western side of The Commonwealth, immediately west of the Chestnut Hillock Reservoir, a small lake with a skyline view of Boston.
Vault 81 is a unique self-sustaining mechanism as it allows bartering with outsiders. You can communicate with the dwellers of the Vault and they will allow you entry. In order to gain access, you must follow the Vault’s rules.
First, you must communicate with Overseer Mcnamara. He will require you to bring in three fusion cores. After bringing in the cores, you are now allowed to enter the Vault.
Second, you must speak to Doctor Forsythe and offer a blood sample at his request. You can find the clinic where he works in the lower levels beyond the atrium.
Finally, you can now access the Hole in the Wall side quest. After leaving Vault 81, immediately walk several paces beyond the cave entrance in order to trigger the event. Return to the Vault and speak to Doctor Forsythe once again.
You will be involved in a commotion during which you will need to help a sick child Vault dweller. In order to help this child, you must get the cure from a closed-off section of the Vault. After accepting the request follow Bobby DeLuca to the secret entrance to the old Vault area.
You need to kill some Mole Rats until you reach the waypoint. Find the robot (Curie) behind the glass and tell her she is relieved of her duties. She will open the door to her room and give you the cure. You can deliver the cure to Doctor Forsythe, but more importantly, you can now recruit Curie.
Now that you have access to Curie, you can recruit her. Increase your bond with her by bringing her along and carrying out activities that she likes. She likes you being kind. Always choose the options that lead to peaceful outcomes. She does not like selfishness, murdering of the innocents, and chem addiction. She also does not like you stealing from others.
Curie’s wish is to become human . In order for this to happen you need to travel to Goodneighbor and visit Doctor Amari at the Memory Den to trigger the Emergent Behavior quest.
There, Curie will undergo an operation and be transferred to a body. While the procedure is being carried out leave the area and carry out some unrelated quests. Then, once 24 hours has passed, Curie will be human and you can romance her if you wish.
