Ask this restaurant about the poor Syrian man who works upstairs and is abused and hit by the other employees? The poor Syrian man who’s family sold him into slavery! Ask them about him!
I would not even give them one star the way how they treated me & my clients family.
The dishe I have ordered they forgot about it!Dishes kept coming in bits not all together. Then when I asked to pack few dishes the girl told me... in my face it's not her job and tried to do this right infront of my client!!!Appoling behaviour, attitude & obviously no training was provided to this person!!!! Doesn't get better. Best chicken shish I've had. Cozy atmosphere, nice staff -- what else to say? They know what they're doing.
Sooo good! We tried the slow roasted lamb with rice cooked with nuts, and chicken wings. We really enjoyed it. We will be back if there were any chance.
A group of 13 visited this fine establishment. Great appetisers, mains and Lebanese wine. Didn’t try the deserts.
We were served by Hind, who was extremely efficient and helpful. Kudos to the entire team.
I found Fairuz by accident and I am already planning my next visit. The food was fabulous and the matching Lebanese wine was a great match.
Loved eating there. I Liked the service, but may too long.. The dishes are very tasty. Hope we will go back soon....
Great ambience, efficient service, food and wine is excellent. Goof value for money. I'd recommend this place and will come again
Popped in on spec for some lunch. Lovely fresh salads, lamb, best chicken I've ever tasted. Unpretentious and charming. Highly recommended.
The food is very tasty and the restaurant serves good portions. Some of the best Lebanese food in London. However, each time I go there I am disappointed with the service:

- It takes them ages to welcome me (ie. no hello nothing)
- Once... seated at the table, it took them 15min to give me the menu and they never asked me if I wanted water
- Takes them extremely long to refill the pita bread

One last thing: the servers seem to not comprehend English very well and thus have had issues with the ordering. More
Lebanon in London. We had the most amazing meal here for my wife’s birthday. Everything was top class and we couldn’t fault anything. Highly recommended, this restaurant deserves a Michelin star ⭐️
Small and cozy place with very very good Lebanese food. We trusted the owner with the wine and he proposed a perfect bottle. Fresh ingredients, perfect hummus, perfectly grilled meat, good pastries and a nice arabic coffee. Eat here if you can.
This little place was recommended to me by a friend . I must say it is the best Lebanese I have ever tried . Went there on Sunday lunch, very fresh fattoush salad , the mixed grill was very tender and juicy . Makloobeh a... slow roast tender pulled lamb to die for . Finished it all with a mint tea and yammi baklava More
I went with a friend last night. We don't eat meat so asked if they could have fish instead of meat (which they had on menu), so we could opt for set menu and they said no. We ordered ala carte. The hot starters were... all fridge-cold, oily and very mediocre; the lentil dish was uncooked, and when I told them it was not cooked enough, was told that that is how the chef does it. They also refused to remove it from the bill. More
We got a big delivery from Fairuz at the weekend to feed 6 people. Everything was excellent - favourites were the grilled halloumi, shish tawouk and a delicious lamb and rice dish. Super fresh, quick delivery, not too much plastic in the packaging. Will definitely... do again. More

Has a triangle-shaped tattoo on her shoulder because the soldiers of the Nazi regime branded the symbol on the Romany in concentration camps. This is her way of paying respect to her culture and remembering the suffering her ancestors endured.

While her first name is Persian, Fairuza herself is not of Persian descent. Fairuza's paternal grandparents were David Stanley Scaff and Mary Lorraine Cole. Fairuza's maternal grandfather, Frederick Franklin Balk, was of German descent, while Fairuza's maternal grandmother, Lavergne Leone White, had English ancestry.

Her natural hair color is light brown, and during the early years of her career she wore it long. She first dyed her hair in the early 90's and had it red in the films Deadly Intentions... Again? (1991) and Gas Food Lodging (1992). When she made the film Shame (1992) her hair was dyed jet black. A year later she cut it short for the film Murder in the Heartland (1993). In a March 2001 interview with "Shout" magazine, she stated that out of all her films, Gas Food Lodging (1992) was her favorite. She indicated that "this film is very close to my heart. As a girl, I was very much like my character Shade. I was shy. I was a loner.".

In the mid-1990s had relationships with actors Crispin Glover and David Thewlis . Since then she has been guarded about her private life. As of 2022 Balk has never married.

Contrary to popular belief - stemming from her role in The Craft (1996) and onetime ownership of an occult bookstore - Balk has never been a practicing witch. She made this clear in a 2017 interview for "Entertainment Weekly", in which she acknowledged that "People are going to believe what they want to believe".

Credits Piper Laurie as her favorite acting mentor/best friend.

I'm beginning to get pigeonholed as the girl who plays the crazies and weirdoes - and that's not the entirety of who I am. Hopefully, the whole point of being in this profession is that you change into anyone you want to be.

I want love, because love is the best feeling in the whole world.

I got beat up in Texas because my bootlaces were the wrong color.

[on her role in Valmont and doing her "first" bedroom scene] It wasn't really hard at all because I had a lot of support, both from the director and from Colin (Firth, who played Valmont). I had a body double, so I didn't show my body at all. So, I really wasn't nervous.

[on her religious/spiritual beliefs] I use to believe that your born, you live, you die, that's it. But I have witness things that have proven different. There are just too many unexplained things out there, and I know there are things that are bigger than us.

"Fairuza!" ("Turquoise" in Farsi), her father exclaimed as he saw her blue eyes: Fairuza Alejandra Balk had just been born on May 21, 1974 in Point Reyes, California. Her father, Solomon Ben Feldthouse , was a traveling musician originally from Idaho, and her mother, Cathryn Balk , was a belly dancer. Her parents split up soon after. Fairuza grew up just north of San Francisco, California on a commune-type ranch. Her mother later found work in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It was there that Fairuza began her career at age 9 on the ABC special The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (1983). Two years later, she went to the United Kingdom where she attended the Royal Academy of Ballet, the Ramona Beauchamp Agency, and the Bush Davies Performing Arts School. Fairuza worked for the Walt Disney Company for a while; at 11, she was chosen from 1,200 girls to star as Dorothy in Return to Oz (1985). The next year she starred, prophetically enough, as The Worst Witch (1986) a harbinger of her breakout role in The Craft (1996) 10 years later. Fairuza and her mother remained in London until 1988, then went to Paris where the 15-year-old starred in Valmont (1989). The next year they returned to Vancouver and Fairuza enrolled in high school, but ended up doing correspondence courses after proving shy in class. Back in Hollywood she starred in a string of movies, including Gas Food Lodging (1992), for which she received an Independent Spirit Award for Best Actress. Following further television and film work, she achieved cult status with her starring role as a teenage witch in her breakout film, The Craft (1996). That year she also appeared in The Island of Dr. Moreau (1996), in which she did some belly-dancing and attracted the attention of Lancashire, England-born co-star David Thewlis . They did another movie together, American Perfekt (1997). Fairuza was also the love interest in the wildly-popular The Waterboy (1998) and had a major role in American History X (1998). With a half-dozen movies for 2000, Fairuza is much in demand. Her interests are writing poetry and stories, playing the guitar, singing (her main enjoyment), and dancing. She lives in Venice, California and has an apartment in New York City.
