Professional Milestones and Background

Sergey Faer was born in 1966. He pursued his education in the field of scientific and technical creativity, where he began honing his skills in innovative problem-solving and creative thinking. From an early stage, Sergey developed a keen interest in applying advanced methods to business and management challenges.

Since 1989, he has been professionally applying TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) to address both critical technical and business challenges. Over the years, his universal consultations have led to the implementation of hundreds of technical, social, and business solutions.

Sergey Faer made history as the first to defend a dissertation and earn the title of TRIZ Master* in a non-technical domain. His groundbreaking work placed him among the global leaders in TRIZ, and he has made significant scientific contributions to the development of this discipline.

Developer of TRIZ Methods and Research in Troubleshooting:

  • The instructional book “Troubleshooting: How to Solve the Unsolvable”. It explores the application of TRIZ to solve non-technical challenges.
  • The instructional book “Techniques of Strategy and Tactics in Election Campaigns”, which for the first time presents a systematic approach to applying TRIZ in election campaigns, from strategy development to tactical problem-solving.
  • Scientific developments in classical TRIZ: “Formulas for Physical Contradictions” and “Systematic Analysis of Methods for Solving Technical Contradictions: An Algorithm for Selecting Methods.”
  • TRIZ methodologies: “The Paradox Method,” “The Action Constructor,” and “Creative Advertising Techniques.” These TRIZ-based approaches for business, marketing, PR, and advertising are explored in the author’s training program “The Universal Problem Solver.”


Seminars and Business Trainings:

Sergey Faer has developed and conducted over 200 training sessions lasting 1-3 days, where he teaches the fundamentals of TRIZ, his own troubleshooting methodologies, creative business problem-solving, and decision-making in unconventional situations. Most examples are drawn from his personal consulting practice.

The goal of the seminar “Genius on Schedule” is not only to provide specific methodologies but also to inspire and ignite inventive thinking. It demonstrates how to think outside the box when solving challenges in technology, advertising, PR, and resolving social contradictions.
