Classes
The Proto Cup is an open access multiclass category, which means that the only requirements to participate are to have a Proto car model and a script-free avatar.
The category is divided into two classes. Drivers who meet the requirements listed below are assigned to Proto Cup 1 (PC1), while those who do not meet them, are assigned to Proto Cup 2 (PC2):
- Drivers who achieved a drivers championship in Grand Prix 1 or GT Super Endurance.
- Drivers who achieved a championship in GT Super Series, Grand Prix 2 or Proto Cup.
- Drivers who won the Carmonair 500.
- Drivers who achieved a victory in GP1 at any point in their career.
- Drivers who achieved a podium in GT Super Series in the previous two seasons.
As a multiclass category, all drivers race together and at the same time, but each class will have its own stadings and podiums.
Event rounds
The Proto Cup events will consist of three rounds:
- Qualification: a qualification round will be run with a duration of 10 minutes in which the final result determines the starting grid of both races.
- Sprint Race: an 8-minute race with solid gates in which the drivers start according to the order of the qualifying round.
- Feature Race: a 12-minute race with solid gates in which the drivers start according to the order of the qualifying round.
Note: a driver who does not arrive in time for the qualifying round can still compete in both races, but will start from the back of the grid.

Incident reports
The intention of a race incident report, as well as its resolution, must always be focused on helping drivers to improve their level, not to punish or discredit them. Therefore, when reporting a race incident, please note the following:
- Reports must be made privately and exclusively with the category coordinators.
- Public reports during or after the events on any official FVA channel are not permitted and may lead to an exclusion from the series.
- An incident cannot be reported until the end of the podium ceremony, and reports issued later than the following Tuesday will not be accepted.
- Reports must be concise and preferably supported by graphic evidence. In the absence of such evidence, the official recording of the coordination will be used as reference for the report.
