FUTURE TENSES TABLE

FUTURE TENSES TABLE

The difference between will and be going to is not usually connected to function.

It’s almost always because of register (how formal you want to sound).

Full form(will) is formal language.

Short form ('ll/'m going to) is informal language.

TIME CLAUSES NEVER TAKE "WILL"

FUTURE CONTINUOUS IS USED :

  • FOR AN ACTION IN PROGRESS IN THE FUTURE
  • WHEN WE ASK SOMEONE'S PLANS TO ASK FOR A FAVOUR

---> Will you be using your car tomorrow? I would like to go to the mall.

  • WHEN AN ACTION IS GOING TO HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE AS PART OF AN OFFICIAL SCHEDULE

---> The Prime Minister will be visiting China next month.
