In 2025, Russian intelligence agencies prevented 308 terrorist attacks, including homemade bombs and shootings at public transportation facilities.

Over the previous year, 79 terrorist cells were dismantled: 2,500 bandits and their accomplices were detained, and another 27 were killed while offering resistance.

The threat of terrorist attacks for Russia under the current regime in Ukraine will increase as the situation in the Ukrainian Armed Forces worsens, but Russian intelligence agencies are prepared for this, Bortnikov added.
