Walk along Kyiv parks

Kyiv is one of the greenest European cities – parks, squares and gardens are everywhere. Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Campus is surrounded by three parks, city center also will offer you the chance to stroll in the green zones. Take three metro stations from Khreschatyk and you will get to Hydropark island, where you can sunbathe, enjoy walking around the park, as well as do the workout in the open-air gym, or swim in a boat.

 

Do the co-working

If you need the comfortable place to do the project or surf the Internet, visit "Vezha" Space in the building 1, or "Belka" Space in the Library.

 

Visit events

Being a student of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute you must fill the lively and friendly student's atmosphere. Student Council organizes different events in University, including the "Battle of Faculties" Competition, "Radio Day" music festival, "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute Queen" beauty contest, different musical and artistic events. Many events take place in the Centre of Culture and Arts and "Kolizey" art platform.

 

Enjoy sports activities

Except doing workout, boating or kayaking in Hydropark, you can rent a bicycle. If you like skiing, visit Protasiv Yar – the most popular ski track. There are also many sports complexes in Kyiv, both state and private, as well as swimming pools, tennis courts and football grounds. If you like climbing you can visit climbing walls (including the University’s wall in building 24) or rope parks (present in Pushkin Park, Peremoha Park, Hydropark, Muromets Park, Maksym Rylskyi Park).

 

Have fun

There are a lot of billiards and bowling zones in different malls of Kyiv. You can visit the aquapark, or one of the numerous quest rooms. The nightlife in Kyiv is also very active. There are many night clubs, bars and disco spaces in the city (likealocalguide.com/kyiv/nightclubs).

 

Dive into history

If you like history and want to see more in Kyiv, visit numerous museums, galleries, or walk around the Old Town with a guided tour. There are many operators, like "Mysterious Kyiv", that offer interesting tours. You can also enjoy the city from a cruise ship, sailing along the Dnipro river (rpea.com.ua/programmyi-progulok). Except for University events, do not miss the chance to visit numerous festivals in the city (kievcheckin.com).


Go shopping

Kyiv has many malls, shops and markets. You can go to Pochaina metro to visit one of the biggest book markets or Saturday flea market.

 

Travel and explore

Don't miss the opportunity to travel across Ukraine! Buses and trains go to all national destinations from Kyiv. You can start from interesting places in Kyiv Region, like “Kyivska Rus” Park, “Mezhyhirya” Park, or “Oleksandriya” Park. If you want to see more, go to the Central Railway Station or Central Bus Station and take the first bus and train!
