FOREIGN INVESTMENTS TO SHARE MARKET OF UZBEKISTAN: RESULTS OF THE MONTH

As of 01.01.2023 the number of foreign shareholders totaled 3 477 persons or 0.38% in shareholding structure. The aggregate share owned by foreign shareholders totaled UZS 4.7 trillion or 2.84 % in the aggregated volume of shares issues.
Cyprus, Kazakhstan and Russia continue to top five lists of foreign countries investing in share market of Uzbekistan:
1. Russia leads by number of invested JSCs with its 204 JSCs;
2. Kazakhstan leads by total amount of investments with UZS 1 165.5 billion;
3. Russia leads by aggregate number of shareholders with its 1 597 persons;
4. Cyprus leads by number of shareholders in status of legal persons with its 43 persons;
5. Russia leads by number of shareholders in status of physical persons with its 1 568 persons.
