FLEX Alumni Virtual Exchange Workshop 2020 

FLEX Alumni Virtual Exchange Workshop 2020 to be held November 16 – December 11 for 48 FLEX alumni participants. Application forms for mentors and participants are now open and available at ais.americancouncils.org/flexalumni until September 30th, 2020. All FLEX alumni are eligible to apply for both opportunities.

Workshop structure: The workshop will last for four weeks and every week there will be a combination of group, peer, and individual work.

• Monday – Participants watch online videos and complete interactive quizzes (asynchronous)
• Wednesday – Participants discuss video content and go over details of weekly assignments (synchronous)
• Friday – Participants connect with other alumni on a topic or activity (synchronous)
• Sunday – Participants submit weekly assignment (asynchronous)

Aside from the mentor and large group meetings, the program will have three mandatory live sessions with all 48 participants and mentors during the extent of the workshop on designated dates.

A requirement of the workshop is that all participants administer a virtual exchange program using the skills and knowledge learned at the workshop by September 30, 2021. Participants will be eligible to apply for grant funding to support their programs. Before applying alumni should consider their willingness and availability to a) attend all the sessions from November 16- December 11 and b) organize a virtual exchange in 2021.
