FAQ and Information about Marathons

FAQ and Information about Marathons

Ahmad Qodirov

In this article, I provide you some information about listening and reading marathons I offer and answer to some of the most frequently asked questions about them. I also included the list of requirements before joining marathons, and what you can expect once you finish them.

Information about both marathons

Both marathons last 30 days yet I do not share anything to study on Sundays because I believe we should rest, review our progress and plan to-do list for the following week. Keep in mind that the money you pay for marathons is only for my video lessons which cover all question types, and guided practice videos, skill videos that you need to develop to succeed in the test. However, I share other types of materials such as YouTube video recommendations, podcasts, articles, etc on a daily basis to improve your skills. In addition, I try to share my personal experience in taking the IELTS and some non-ielts content to motivate you in your IELTS Journey.

More importantly, I am always ready to help if you need explanation on some of the questions you don't understand. All in all, daily materials and lessons can take up 3-5 hours to finish based on how intensely you study, if you fail to do daily homework, don't expect to make a progress. Please keep in mind that you are the one who must take responsibility for your own learning and study consistently. You are required to send your daily report of what you have done to our group. You must be patient and work consistently instead of expecting shortcuts or quick progress. In fact, the more you work and consistent you remain, the more likely you make progress.

What you get for investing in our marathons:
  • One IELTS related video lesson per day by Ahmad Qodirov (except Sunday)
  • One daily podcast
  • One daily article
  • One non-IELTS video content to improve your critical thinking
  • Daily Motivation
  • Extra video lessons by a reliable IELTS instructors from time to time
  • Although not always, I try to organize weekly voice chats on Telegram, so you can ask any questions you want 'live' and review your progress with him.
  • Only reliable test materials
Other benefits of joining our marathons (Why ours could be the best help for your IELTS Journey):
  • A good teaching by Ahmad Qodirov based on years of experience
  • 24/7 support in our private group. You are always welcome to ask for help, or ask new reliable materials either privately or in our group.
  • Continuous support, we don't stop helping after 30-days, we are ready to help with advice or materials until you take the test. After marathon, you need to study independently and can contact us whenever necessary.
  • You are welcome to ask support in other sections of IELTS such as writing and speaking. We are also ready to assist if you want to develop good study habits or General English.
  • Our prices are really reasonable for what we offer if not the best in town (less than $8 per skill.
Requirements to join the marathon:
  • Be an independent learner - if you need someone to control you who tells you to study daily, you better not join. You may not progress that much unless YOU take responsibility for your own learning and future. Procrastination is the enemy of success.
  • High level of English - our lessons are only in English so you better have at least intermediate or higher than that.
  • Consistency and Unlimited Internet - you must be consistent in your efforts as studying daily can help you to make progress, if you study actively for a week then give up, you don't make progress. Similarly, if you study only when you want you are unlikely to make progress. Athletes become champions because they train not only when they want, but everyday no matter what mood they are in. Also, have unlimited internet traffic to download video lessons and materials.
  • Be responsible, Be active learner, Be open minded - you must share your daily study report in our private group. If you don't ask questions how do I know you have a problem with understanding test or marathon lesson, ask it privately so teacher can help you.
Books you must print to study during marathons and after it.
  • Vocabulary for IELTS
  • Skill book (I will share pdf in private group)
  • Books for Active Reading and Listening
  • Practice book

FAQ (Frequently asked questions)

  1. Do the lessons take place on Zoom?

-No, they don't. As I mentioned above, lessons are pre-recorded video which covers everything you need to know to succeed in Listening and Reading sections.

2. How long does the Marathon continue?

For 30 days excluding Sundays, everything will be sent to private telegram channel.

3. Should I have a specific level of English to take part in it?

-Yes, preferably, you must have at least intermediate level of English or higher. The better you know English, the more likely you succeed.

4. Don't the tests come from Cambridge IELTS books?

-Yes and No, if you have done Cambridge books, I can share new reliable tests, but personally I recommend Cambridge tests as they are the best ones.

5. Do you promise that we get 7 or 8 + after completing marathon?

-No, I don't give promises. Progress mostly depends on your actions, if you study materials thoroughly, and do your best to improve General English, then you are likely to improve your results.

6. Should I study materials at certain time of the day?

-No, as materials are pre-recorded you can study them at any part of the day, doing one day's homework can take up to 4 hours. With that said, you must share your daily homework report to our group.

7. I am from a foreign country; can I also take part in it?

-Yes, you can as long as you have a Visa or able to transfer money internationally. I will let you know the necessary amount.

8. How can I pay if I live in a different region?

-You can transfer Marathon fee via uzcard or humo payment systems such as click/payme.

9. What if I decide to stop in the middle for some reasons, do I get a refund?

- Yes and No, because students who don't study daily obviously make little progress, if you invest in your education, then work hard to make progress. I am not a magician nor know any shortcuts to succeed in IELTS. If you are looking for fake promises/guarantees, you better not to join. Students who are passive, who don't study can be removed from Marathon and get zero refund. Work consistently to get the result, just joining Marathon do little to improve your English.

When you finish the marathon, you will have
  • learnt different techniques, strategies to deal with types of questions in IELTS listening, reading sections
  • have got a wide range of vocabulary to understand, better concentration in Listening, better reading speed and comprehension in Reading skill
  • possibly become a Better Version of yourself, become more pro-active person so you can effectively study after marathons.
