The frustration of sinking time and effort into trying to find partners who will actually RP with me is utterly exhausting, and it's doubly frustrating because this is one of the few spaces in existence where I can actually play out the fantasies I'm most into.
Category:RPLogs This is the category for RP logs. Any roleplayed event or scene, no matter how small and large, can be put into this category. A good idea is to also link the RP log to each participating Character's page, if they have one on the wiki (Requires a Wiki account, unless an NPC).
The purpose of this thread is to serve as a place where roleplayers can freely share and advertise their profiles, solicit roleplay from anons, critique each others' characters, ask and give feedback, share their roleplay logs, discuss their kinks, gossip about site drama, and anything else related to F-List.
This combined with perpetual logs should provide a whole new experience for our users since you can keep connected to your friends and RP wherever, whenever without missing a post!
It's fine as a baseline, but it isn't all you should do. Of course, the basis for finding partners is a good avatar, and a good profile. I've never posted on reddit before and I'm pretty new to f-list, and theres just a few things im confused about I've talked to a few people in fchat, through dms or whatever they call it on there. But, whenever I leave the site and come back the chats never save, and seemingly aren't in logs either?
Logs can be exported if you're using the web version, and they do remain so long as your browser cache remains intact. That's not the case when you use F-List in incognito or private mode, of course. Alternatively you can use the desktop client. Same interface, saves your logs locally. Finding long-term RP is very well possible on F-List. I have some partners I've been playing with for years ...

RP methods I'm a little new to f-list and was wondering what the best method for rp is on site. I've had two that wanted to take out rp to discord, which I was fine with. But there are some that want to rp on the site itself. I might be missing something and I feel dumb, but are notes the only way to rp privately other than f-chat?

As per the title, I was wondering where logs were stored for the 3.0 web client? I know you can export them as .txt or as HTML but I was looking for the files that are in the browser cache.
Chat logs So I know the chatlogs are saved locally, and wonderfully easily exported/downloaded from the web browser. But asking for a friend who lost her chat logs. Is there any way to place those logs back into a folder so they show up inside of F-List? tl;dr What's the directory of F-List chatlogs?

FiveM is a modification framework for GTA V, allowing you to play multiplayer on customized dedicated servers.
It's against the rules to share logs. You can occasionally, typically on furry sites, find people who have agreed with each other to edit their logs into a story. But that's about it. And they don't advertise where those stories came from. You can still read public channel RP.
This is the command that you'll want to use for roleplay actions. Entering /me 's will make your character's name possessive. Examples:

Learning a couple little tricks in Photoshop/GIMP/the image editing software of your choice can go far in getting roleplay, because at their core people are visual creatures.

F-List is a roleplay site where furries (and non-furries) can post requests to do RPs with each other to various online chat rooms. I have just learned that f-list has been shadowbanning most of my public roleplay prompts (rp chat 'ads', not to be confused with the actual banner ads).
I lost my logs!!! Someone please tell me there's a way to get my logs back! My internet crashed and when I logged back in over a months worth of logs had disappeared! This is my favourite writing partner and I loved looking back at everything we've written and, because it's quite plot heavy, I referenced it a lot when crafting my responses!

Here's the thing: F-List is owned by a profitable company that covers the site's hosting costs and provides legal coverage, which in turn, allows F-List to provide more dubious content. Always be sure to use HIGH QUALITY & RELEVANT images. Visual appeal on F-list is EXTREMELY important when it comes to trying to get any sort of roleplay going as you can and will almost always be judged based on your looks. This means that this is a part where you definitely do NOT want to get lazy or cut corners.

The user list can be resized to see more of character names, or to show more of the chat view. The channel list dialog has been improved to allow sorting and filtering. (Thanks to Kythyria.) bugfix: Regular URLs in the chat view and logs will no longer have wacky prefixes.
Even if you coded your own alternative to f-list, you'd need to manage it well, or it'd just turn into another f-list. On the other hand, if you're good at wrangling cats, you could probably become a mod in any community.
If I was RPing with someone that consistently wasn't able to reply for a few hours, and I was enjoying the RP, I would say, "hey, want to just play in notes or move to discord?" It's just not convenient to play that way in f-list chat because you can't send messages offline. If you are fine with a slower pace, ask them to play in notes?
IIRC, f-chat uses something like a peer-to-peer connection for private messages, rather than a server. Logs aren't saved anywhere other than your and your partner 's machine, and if your partner isn't logged in then there is nothing on their end to store the logs. But, this is literally what note rp is for.
These people aren't really on F-List to RP either. They're on F-List because of a suffocating need for popularity. They're there, every single day, in the public RP rooms. I welcome comments, suggestions, and hate-mail. Known issues: some of the formattting advice needs to be updated to reflect browser differences, different BBCode parsers (for some reason F-List uses a different one in every client), and my growing general sentiment that one should probably avoid all these gimmicks, anyway.

Logs not saving at all... I'm having an issue. So I log on, have an rp session with someone, and log out. The next day, I come back to find that theres no logs of the rp at all! Is this an issue with my browser or something?
Has anyone else been having F-List just log them out when trying to do nearly anything? First it was whenever I went to edit a profile, now it's when I'm trying to send a note. It's fucking ridiculous that the site does this and it makes trying to just use the damn thing a fucking pain-- and this has been going on since yesterday at LEAST.
How to import logs? Hello there! I use the desktop version of f-chat, and although I've been able to save my logs, I can't seem to find where to import them back? By searching around a little I found how to import them on installed versions of f-chat, but not on the desktop version. Is it even possible? Thanks!

Hi, I'm using the desktop install of F-Chat, and in the client itself I can find logs dated to this year, but in %appdata%/fchat/data the newest logs seem to be dated 2018.
I put quite a bit of effort into fleshing-out my old F-List profiles with multiple paragraphs of character-specific text, and I would like to preserve these writings for posterity and/or different RP sites.

The F-list seems clean and to the point Sometimes simple and tidy is best. Though if you are looking for some more custom kinks/limits, as well as miscellaneous things to pretty up one's thread, the "Profile References" F-list page is very helpful in that regard.

I booted up F-Chat rising on my PC for the first time in about a week, was able to login and connect and everything. I then logged out, uploaded my logs to the relevant folders, and tried to connect again expecting to be able to see my logs...
Honestly though, I don't argue on F-list, I just mute people at this point and just continue being me or in other words, how I'm suppose to be depicting the character if it's a roleplay chat for a private room.
F-list obviously doesn't have a problem with adult content, and it's staff allows/tolerates the in-depth story RP in addition to adult content. This is important because a situation that IGNORES sexuality in culture makes it impossible to do the kind of roleplay that I enjoy. There simply isn't a better environment for this kind of RP.

The thing about F-List is there's no real alternatives, or at least no better ones. F-List is THE defacto minimal censorship RP site. Sure, there's Litphoria, but who's really using Litphoria over F-List, and how much do those userbases overlap for it to actually be worth it? As others have mentioned, the site's always had problems with ghosting.
I have NO IDEA what the rules are, but 10 minutes sounds a bit fast since that's often the speed at which I play public games, but once per 30 or 60 minutes sounds ok. I'm curious because I've never used RP ads on F-List. How do you use them/What are they useful for? Do you design them around a particular type of scene you want to achieve?
Is F-list a good place to start? How welcomed are newcomers and are people even going to want to RP with someone that's never RP'd before? I have other questions too. Like how long should I take to reply and how long should I expect to wait for a reply?
