Something went wrong, but don’t fret — let’s give it another shot.

Ezra Miller was arrested March 28 at a karaoke bar in Hawaii. The actor was arrested again several weeks later. Hawaii County Police via Facebook
The actor Ezra Miller appears in police body camera footage from the night of their March arrest in Hawaii .
Miller, who plays The Flash in the DC films, was arrested twice within several weeks in Hawaii, first on charges of disorderly conduct and harassment in connection with an alleged incident at a karaoke bar March 28, then on a charge of second-degree assault April 19 after allegedly throwing a chair at a woman .
The video, obtained by TMZ and The Daily Mail , shows Miller, who grew up in Wyckoff and uses they/them pronouns, with police outside the karaoke bar in Hilo, Hawaii.
Police reported in March that Miller, who lives in Vermont, had allegedly yelled obscenities and become upset when people sang the Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper song “Shallow” at the karaoke bar. They said Miller allegedly grabbed the microphone from a woman in the middle of a song and allegedly lunged at a man playing darts . The actor was released after posting $500 bail.
In the body camera footage, a man tells police he was playing darts when Miller, 29, allegedly spit in his face.
Miller claims they were assaulted. They can be heard telling police that they record video when they are attacked for the purposes of “NFT crypto art.” Miller said they were filming an alleged assault at the bar that night.
“Tell me your name and your badge number!” Miller repeatedly shouts at police while backing away from officers.
“I’m being arrested for disorderly conduct?” Miller asks as they are handcuffed, again alleging that they were assaulted. At one point, they attempt to apologize to police.
“The guy in that bar declared himself as a Nazi,” Miller tells police. “I have it on film and he attacked me.”
In this image taken from a Hawaii State Judiciary video, Ezra Miller appears via Zoom for a court hearing on Tuesday, April 19 in Hilo, Hawaii. Miller pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct after their arrest at a karaoke bar. AP
“I claim my Ninth Amendment rights to not be unlawfully persecuted for a crime of no designation,” Miller continues. “Disorderly conduct means something I am unguilty of. I claim my Fourth Amendment rights to not be searched and seized on no probable cause that you will not be able to offer in a court of law.”
Miller repeats this sentiment, then addresses an officer searching them.
“Hey, you just touched my penis, please don’t do that!” Miller says. “I’m transgender nonbinary. I don’t want to be searched by a man.”
As police remove Miller’s belongings and put them in bags, the actor points out one item.
“Those are Nerf guns, just in case you’re worried that those are bullets. Those are Nerf bullets. They are fake and they are a toy.”
Miller also mentions their Flash ring (that the character wears in the DC films) and asks police not to take it from them.
“The Flash ring means a lot to me,” the actor says. “It’s very valuable.”
Miller appears as The Flash, aka Barry Allen, in the DC films “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” “Justice League” and “Suicide Squad.” They are also set to star as the character in the movie “ The Flash ,” slated for a 2023 release.
But in April, Rolling Stone reported that Miller’s status in the franchise was allegedly in limbo after the first Hawaii arrest, which prompted a meeting attended by Warner Bros. and DC executives .
The Associated Press reported that Miller had been the subject of 10 calls to police in Hilo since March 7.
A Hawaii couple Miller was reportedly staying with at a hostel filed for a temporary restraining order against Miller after they said the actor stole a wallet and passport from them and threatened them.
In April, the actor pleaded no contest to the disorderly conduct charge stemming from the karaoke bar incident and was fined $500, the Hawaii Tribune-Herald reported.
Miller also stars as Credence Barebone/Aurelius Dumbledore in the movie “ Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore ,” released April 15.
In January, Miller posted an Instagram video in which they appeared to threaten a chapter of the North Carolina Ku Klux Klan . Miller also appeared to choke a woman in a 2020 video recorded at a bar in Reykjavík, Iceland . Variety reported that the actor was escorted off the premises .
Miller got their start in movies like “We Need to Talk About Kevin” (2011) and “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” (2012). They are also set to play a young Salvador Dalí in the upcoming film “ Dalíland .”

Sad News from the Bird Cams: Ezra, Beloved Red-tail at Cornell, Is Dead
March 21, 2017

As some of you may know, Ezra has not been seen on the Cornell Hawks cam or on the Cornell campus for the past several days, and worries have been mounting. We are extremely sad to have to share the news with you that we learned this evening that Ezra has died.
On Saturday, March 18, the Janet L. Swanson Wildlife Health Center received an injured Red-tailed Hawk who we now know was Ezra, and who had been found near the A. D. White House on campus. After examining him and taking X-rays, veterinarians determined that the severe wing fracture could not be repaired and flight would never again be possible. They made the difficult but humane decision to euthanize him on Sunday. Meanwhile, “Birders on the Ground” (or BOGs) Cindy and Karel Sedlacek had grown increasingly concerned about Ezra’s absence and contacted us here at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
We reached out to the Wildlife Health Center to ask whether any hawks had been brought in, and were able to confirm through his leg band numbers that this bird was Ezra . We will share any other updates we receive after a final necropsy is completed. Ezra has touched our lives and the lives of millions of people of all ages ever since we started watching him and Big Red in 2012. He inspired us with his beauty and personality as well as his devotion and success in working with Big Red to raise 15 nestlings in just the past five years.
Ezra was banded near the Cornell campus in 2006 when he was already an adult, making him at least 12 years old. We recognize that many of you feel shock and sadness, as we do . We wish to thank the veterinarians at the Wildlife Health Center for being available every day, around the clock, to help wildlife in distress. We are truly fortunate that our hawks and other wildlife in the area receive such world-class care because of them.
We also wish to thank Karel and Cindy Sedlacek who had been closely tracking Ezra and Big Red and alerted us of his absence. Finally, thanks to all of you for forming the incredible community that has helped us all deepen our understanding and appreciation of these remarkable birds. We encourage you to celebrate Ezra’s life and share your tributes by posting your screen caps and comments on this page or emailing birdcams@cornell. edu .
