Extensive installation guide for San-Kernel
Common installation process:
• Scroll down to the last, if you are already familiar with downloading the build.
• Check if any latest update is released for the device. if yes, then follow the link from post.
• It will redirect you to pling, it will be like this:
• Now click on "Files" and it will show you various codenames of each releases.
• Now after clicking on codename-rx.x.x, it will redirect you to San-Kernel releases github repository.
• The common bare build naming format is "San-Kernel-Codename-Version-Devicename.zip", means it will not have any speacial modification.
• If any strings appended at end of Devicename "-Feature.zip" like this, it will contain additional modification.
• The common feature is KSU(KernelSU), check additional information about kernelSU here
• After downloading the build, ensure it is compatible with the ROM you are using or going to flash.
• It is highly recommended to seek help from support group or device community groups to check compatibility.
• After your sure with compatibility:
- Reboot to recovery
- Select the build.zip
- Flash it
• It will splash San-Kernel Logo and you will be redirected to another installation environment.
• All San-Kernel release builds will use AROMA installer, means you can configure kernel core features during the installation itself.
• So if you are not sure about the features given in AROMA, then just click "Default/No" for all options and finish the installtion
• After configuring features in the installer, it will ask you to continue installing the kernel to your device. if you want to abort/reconfigure, click the "Abort installation" or use left arrow mark in the bottom to go previous feature configurations.
• Installer will show all the feature you have selected during installation and also patches magisk if you have magisk already installed, so wait and click the next button to finish installation.
• Its recommended not to use "reboot" button in installer,leave it unticked because it will not work in all recoveries. But its harmless.
• Click next and you will be back to recovery environment, then you can boot into OS.
