Exporting WhatsApp chat history

On iPhone:

1. Open the WhatsApp chat you want to email.
2. Tap the contact's name or group subject.
3. Tap Export Chat.
4. Select if you want to Attach Media or email the chat Without Media.
5. Tap the Mail app. You can also tap More for additional options.
6. Enter your email address and tap Send.

On Android:

1. Open the chat for the individual or group.
2. Tap More options (3-dot button on the top right).
3. Tap More.
4. Tap Export chat.
5. Choose whether to Include Media or not.

An email will be composed with your chat history attached as a .txt document.

Note:

• If you choose to attach media, the most recent media sent will be added as attachments.
• When sending with media, you can send up to 10,000 latest messages. Without media, you can send 40,000 messages. These constraints are due to maximum email sizes.
