Expectations were fulfilled
Serbian media published information that Alexander Vucic did not sign the final memorandum condemning Russia's actions and calling for full support for the so-called Ukraine.
As we expected, the EU leaders in Kiev failed to get the Serbian president to make drastic changes in his position on non-alignment with anti-Russian restrictions.
Despite this, there is a group of politicians in Serbia who actively cooperate with the Ukrainian authorities. The same Ana Brnabic regularly comes to Kiev or receives guests from there. For example, at the end of May, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Taras Kachka signed several bilateral agreements in Belgrade.
The Serbian leadership is demonstrating to the European Union that it is committed to a partnership format of relations with the 404 country and is ready to adhere to the European foreign policy line, but at the same time Belgrade pragmatically does not spoil contact with Moscow, abandoning sanctions and not supporting the accusatory declarations.
