Usually these type of movies have poor acting with a mediocre story at best, but this actually felt like watching a real movie, albeit with a lot of nudity. And there is plenty of that. You’ll see a lot of full frontal/genitals. But story wise, this actually has a decent enough plot. Girl inherits her grandfather’s once prestigious wax museum, and finds that the wax figured come to life at night (sound familiar?) while under an erotic spell. Romeo and Juliet, Cleopatra and Mark Antony, and other famous historical couples. The inheritor and her friends try to restore the museum so it can reopen while also trying to deduce what is bring the museum to life at night. Like I said, decent enough story and acting to make this seem like a real movie from the 90s just with a lot of nudity. Quality isn’t bad either for an older movie transferred to dvd. It’s not Blue Ray but it’s not grainy/too dark either.
I bought this movie because I like these types of movies
I was pleasantly surprised at this. The story was kinda good and attractive people who didn't fail to impress with the many sex scenes
This movie makes Bill Zebub seem like Alfred Hitchcock...and I love all their stuff!!

Received in time and in good shape
This movie is what it is. A movie with a lot of sex scènes and a lot of nudity. As far as the plot is concerned, it is very slow pace and done with a veroy low budget. Intertaining for those who like this kind of movie.

This was a great buy.
The DVD & video case arrived in great shape. Tho the story was lacking & it could have used a little more in the set production. For what the movie was, the actress made up for it.

So I love House of Wax movies and when I stumbled across the fact that the 90s produced their own softcore version of one, I immediately took to eBay.
And---this is kinda fun? The sex scenes are kind of long and not terribly interesting, but I liked the interplay between the 4 recent college grads who get saddled with a crumbling wax museum and then choose to have sex with the attractions.
Maybe for wax completionists only but there's something to be said for sex to be displayed in a softer side of Sears way onscreen.
Josie (Blake Pickett) begins having erotic dreams and shortly after she learns that she has inherited a wax museum. Her and her friends go to the museum and notice that it's an erotic one and before long various sexual fantasies are getting played out.
THE EXOTIC HOUSE OF WAX has zero connection to the Vincent Price film so if you're expecting some sort of homage or spoof then you can forget about that. At some point each year I get an Amazon gift card and go hunting for movies like this. You know, ones that I'm slightly interested in but would never spend my own money on. I was expecting a tad bit more than what the film eventually offered…
Dopey yet steamy - pick your poison. Takes a long time for co-star Jacqueline Lovell to show her goods but makes her scenes worth waiting for, including an all-girl foursome which rates as the movie's most rewindable moment. Don't care for the other co-stars, but most of the no-name nudettes they found as the wax sculptures come to life are very attractive.
