According to the list of Champions League players by 32 clubs released by UEFA on the 13th (Korea Standard Time), Celtic submitted the names of Oh Hyun-kyu and Yang Hyun-joon.


Oh Hyun-kyu joined Celtic in January this year, last season, and is playing as a key striker. Yang Hyun-joon left Gangwon FC in July and newly joined the K-League.


Celtic will compete with Feyenoord (the Netherlands), Atletico Madrid (Spain) and Lazio (Italy) in Group E to advance to the round of 16.


Kwon Hyuk-kyu, one of the "Korean Three Musketeers," was unfortunately excluded from the list.


As a result, five South Korean players will play in the Champions League this season.


Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich), Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain), and Hwang In-beom (Tzberna Zvezda) are all set to play.

Bayern Munich (Germany) will compete with Manchester United (England), Copenhagen (Denmark) and Galatasaray (Turkiye) in Group A.


Lee Kang-in of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) was also on the list along with Kylian Mbappe.


PSG will compete with Dortmund (Germany), AC Milan (Italy), and Newcastle United (England) in Group F. be considered a death squad.


Lee Kang-in will return to the Champions League stage for the first time in four seasons since the 2019-2020 season when he played for Valencia (Spain).


Hwang In-beom, who is wearing a new Tsberna Zvezda (Serbia) uniform, will make his first Champions League appearance. They will face Manchester City (England), Leipzig (Germany) and Young Boys (Switzerland) in Group G.
