With more than 9,300 students and about 240 professors, the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt, or THWS, is one of the biggest universities of applied sciences in Bavaria. THWS was founded in 1971 with two locations which are successfull to this day - in the the cities of Würzburg and Schweinfurt.

You have to fill out the application form and upload several documents:
- Copy of your passport (written in Latin letters)
- CV(Resume) with photo
- Certificate of enrolment at your home university
- Photo for the student ID card (file format JPG, max. 5 MB, min. resolution of 600 x 450 pixels)
- Academic transcript of records (accepted only in English)
- Letter of motivation (approx. one page)
- Proof of language proficiency (B2 level or IELTS 5.5)
- GPA minimum 4.2 with no Fails
- After completing the online application, print the application form and sign it on the last page. Then submit it to the International Office at your home university and let them sign it, too.
Additional costs arise for health insurance, accommodation, and living costs. FHWS students can expect the following average monthly costs:
Monthly costs
Total: approx. 800 Euro
Accomodation: 250- 350 Euro
Insurance: 100 Euro
Food: 250 Euro
Leisure: 100 Euro
For accomodation you need to pay in advance for 6 month -1250-1750 EURO
VISA EXPENDITURES
6000$- block account - This amount of money you should put on our account for your personal expenditure purposes for one semester.
90$ -visa fee
