Wisp Lashes

When it is the time of lash retention, a high-quality eyelash extension adhesive makes a huge difference. So, the foremost thing the lash artist should learn is how to take care of their glue.

Many factors affect the quality of eyelash extension glue, but you can avoid this with proper knowledge.

Here you will know the difference between black adhesive and clear adhesive and how to use your lash glue properly. But first, let’s move over the lash adhesive description.

Lash Adhesive: What is it?

In eyelash extension, lash adhesive is important for attaching the extension to the natural lashes. You might be thinking that any adhesive can be used to do this process. But the wrong glue can cause severe damage to the natural lashes.

Best eyelash extension glue: Black or Clear?

One of the most common lash extension glue lash artists uses black glue. This glue will add great intensity to the lash line. And the best thing is that it can hide the lash bond without drawing eyeliner over it.

On the other hand, clear adhesive is not very common to use. But if the client wishes to have a colored classic set of eyelash extensions, then this clear adhesive is perfect to use! It will give a seamless bond between the color lash extensions and natural lashes.

The clear adhesive is suggested for beginner lash artists who have trouble creasing the lashes neatly for light density and colored lashes.

Also, the clear adhesive is perfect for clients who are allergic to black glue.

How to use eyelash extension glue correctly?

Every lash artist is always concerned about some things like:

  • How to use the eyelash glue properly
  • How to shake it properly in the proper manner and how long

These are the most important things to know because we want to get most of our eyelash glue.

Shake your lash glue

It is always necessary to shake your lash adhesive before the lash appointment. If you shake lash glue with your hand, remember to shake it side by side for a minimum of 1 or 2 minutes to mix the ingredients properly. And by this, your glue second drop will be freshest with all the mixed ingredients.

Make sure you never shake your glue-up and down. Because when you shake in this manner, the glue will go up on the nozzle.

As thinner viscosity eyelash extension adhesive is very delicate, if you are shaking your lash extension adhesive up and down, chances are you will get the cap stuck to it, and your glue will not work correctly and might give you some issues. And as the last artist, we don’t want to do this.

If you are using a glue shaker, shake your eyelash glue a minute before your day starts. But if your switch lash extension glue, make sure to shake it again.

Make sure always to burp your eyelash extension adhesive

Remember to burp your adhesive to keep it last as long as possible. If you do not burp the lash glue, the air will get into it, making it less effective.

Clean your nozzle with lint-free wipes

Keeping the nozzle clean is the perfect way to get the most of your lash extension glue. Get your lint-free wipes that will help to keep your glue nozzle from becoming stuck in the cap due to buildup, which can degrade the lash extension glue. Also, ensure that when you remove glue from your tools and tweezers, use adhesive remover and adhesive wipes.

Replace your old nozzle with a new nozzle

After a few days, there will be a time when your nozzle is so clogged that it can’t be saved with a pin or scissor. At that time, you need to replace the nozzle. Also, if the nozzle looks distorted or too hard to remove the lid, you have to replace it with a new one.

Tip: As a lash artist, ask your client to avoid some ingredients when they are done with lash extensions

Conclusion

When you buy eyelash extension glue, you also want to get a hygrometer first to know your humidity and temperature level in your studio. From there, you can get the perfect adhesive.

Ensure that it is within range of temperature. If you are a new lash artist, avoid using fast-drying lash glue. Instead, take your time, be patient, practice more, and when you get experience, you can get a faster adhesive that matches you perfectly.
