The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into the furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.
