The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into the furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on higher-end models. And its mopping system is better as its spinning pads scrub your floors much more effectively than the vibrating pads.

The only issue is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's a small cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots on the market. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it comes across the wall or a piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and moves forward.
