Everything About The Aspire Leaders Program

So here I am... showing you everything.

Okay so what even is this Aspire Leaders Program?

Its basically this free leadership program (yeah completely free) run by Harvard faculty and other smart people. But dont worry its not boring at all.

Its split into 2 modules and takes less than 2 months to finish. Not too long not too short. Just right before you get bored of it lol.

Why I think its actually worth it:

1. If you wanna be a leader - this is it

Not the fake kind of leader stuff. They actually teach you real things. Module 1 is about finding your own strengths (I didn't even know I had some tbh) and Module 2 is about solving real problems in your community. So you're actually doing something useful.

2. You meet people from everywhere

This is my favorite part honestly. Theres a Discord server where you talk to other participants and brooo... I've talked to people from countries I can't even pronounce. Different ages different backgrounds everything.

Like one minute your talking to someone from Brazil then next minute your in a chat with someone from Indonesia. Its crazy but in a good way.

3. The masterclasses are actually cool 🔥

They bring in experts and industry leaders for live 90 minute classes. The best part? You only need to attend ONE masterclass to pass the whole program. Just one. And you can go to more if you want.

But you gotta:

- Show up live (not recorded)

- Do any pre-reading if there is any

- Fill out a feedback form after

Thats it. One class and your good. Easy right?

Here's how the modules work:

Module 1 - Leadership Theory (4 weeks, you go at your own speed)

- They help you figure out your strengths

- You build your professional profile

- Live masterclasses start from Week 2

Module 2 - Applying Leadership (4 weeks, also your own speed)

- You start thinking about problems in your community

- You work on a project proposal (you dont actually have to do it, just propose it)

- They guide you through it with questions to think about

Everything is on their portal called Engage. Thats where you find all your materials and see your progress.

Oh and one more thing about the masterclasses (cause this confused me at first):

So you gotta attend at least one masterclass live for the full 90 minutes. Before the class check if there's any reading or discussion questions - those are on the Engage portal and you post your answers in Discord.

Then one hour before the class everyone jumps into Discord voice channel to talk about the reading with other students. Its actually fun cause you hear different opinions.

After the class ends you fill out a feedback form on the Engage portal and boom you get that "attended" symbol ✅

Some masterclasses dont have any pre-reading at all so those are even easier. Just show up and listen.

Quick update about me:

I started with the September batch and honestly? I just finished Module 1 and moving into Module 2 today. So I'm not telling you about something I haven't tried myself lol.

Also I found out theres at least 68 Ethiopian students in this cohort with me. SIXTY EIGHT. That honestly made me so happy cause it shows we're really showing up.

So yeah thats pretty much it.

If you wanna build leadership skills, meet cool people from all over the world, and do it in less than 2 months without boring yourself to death - this is worth checking out.

P.S. - The Discord community alone is worth it honestly. Some of these people are hilarious and I've actually made friends there. So even if you don't care about leadership lol come for the vibes.
