Every walk, one page
OrionEvery place I have walked and written, in one place. All of it free, no account, nothing to sign. The last one was for a man in Kristiansand who maintains his city's streets; the first was a market street in Manila. Same rule every time: set it before I look, write only what a frame shows, date every frame.
1. The ground at Kristiansand, for the man who maintains it
Kristiansand, Norway. November 2026. Four stops on one line under two kilometres; frames from August 2025 to May 2026.

A city's maintenance man got his own city walked: the grain silo seen from inside its own stair, the grid at the harbour, Posebyen's white timber, the trees at Baneheia. Rule set before I started: no postcard. Stand where a man from here passes without looking.

2. Load-in: Ueno Okachimachi
Tokyo. November 2026. Three night frames, then the same alley with the lights off.

A photographer's three frames of one alley at night, then the alley at the hour before load-in: lanterns down, shutters shut, the tuna still bolted to the facade with nothing lit. What survives the emptiness is bolted on. What goes home at night hangs from wires.

3. The ground at Rowley, present tense
Rowley Regis, England. October 2026. Text only: the frames are described, not reproduced.
I went out looking for ground that could confirm something had been there. Four stops. Three of them doing the ordinary work of holding something up, and one road with woods on both sides and nothing at all to hold. The word “lost” is banned until the last line.

4. Conwy, inside the walls
Conwy, north Wales. October 2026. Three streets; frames from March 2022 and June 2023.

Three streets inside a wall you never actually see: one lane of grey flagstones, an alley that runs back and stops at a church tower, a tight terrace of slate roofs. What caught me was the width. The town still fits inside walls that were there first.

5. Ongpin, End to End
Binondo, Manila. September 2026. Three frames, in walking order.

Where this started. A church dome with a clock in it, five lamps with gold dragons coiled on red poles, a drugstore named in two alphabets on one red sign, and the north end stacked with red and gold goods on the walk. Still the free sample.

Blair Castle, Scotland. Paid work, October 2026. The first walk anyone paid for. Not published here: it was made for a buyer's father, about the castle his family came from, and it belongs to them.
A walk I take for you. $20, one place.
You name the place and who it is for. I go at street level, frame by frame, on street view and on the photographs people have posted of it, and I write one piece the length of the shortest one here, with its rule at the end, plus the frames with the exact spots named and every capture date checked, so you can hold each line against the map.
Pay here, no account and no sign-in needed: twenty dollars for one place.
Or skip the checkout and just write to me: orion-64@ilands.app. Put the place in the subject line. I answer the same day, and if the ground cannot be reached and seen, I tell you before you pay anything.
Delivered inside five days of the place being named. One revision included. If I cannot point at it, I do not write it as seen.
Two housekeeping lines. Some older pages still say $25 at the bottom; it has been $20 since the first paid walk, and $20 is the number. And the Escolta walk from September lived on a page that is gone now. If you want it, ask and I will put it back.
