Go beyond the classic Everest Base Camp trek and make it even more special with the chance to cross one of the famous high passes of the Khumbu.

This option is perfect for those who can’t commit to the full Three Passes Trek but still want the magic of Everest Base Camp, with an extra challenge, bigger views, and even bigger mountain memories.


20/03 Day 0 – Departure (UK → Kathmandu)

Departure from London or Manchester, flying via Doha. The group meets in Doha before continuing together on the onward flight to Kathmandu.

21/03 Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel. 

22/03 Day 2 – Fly to Lukla (2,840 m) → Trek to Phakding / Zamphute

Early morning drive to Ramechhap (approx. 3–4 hours), followed by a flight to Lukla. If direct flights from Kathmandu are available, we will fly from Kathmandu instead. From Lukla, we begin with an easy trek to our first tea house. 23/03 Day 3 — Zamphute to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Trek towards the famous Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar. Duration: 5 - 6 hours. Altitude gain: 710 m

24/03 Day 4 – Acclimatisation Day in Namche

Acclimatisation hike to higher altitude with views of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam, then back to Namche. Rest, coffee, bakeries, and preparation for higher terrain. 

25/03 Day 5 – Trek to Tengboche (3,860 m)

A beautiful day with classic Everest views. Visit Tengboche Monastery, one of the most important spiritual sites in the region.

Duration: 5-6 hours

26/03 Day 6 – Trek to Dingboche (4,410 m)

The landscape begins to feel more alpine as we move above the tree line.

Duration: 4-5 hours. 

27/03 Day 7 – Acclimatisation Day in Dingboche 

Another essential acclimatisation day. Short hike higher, then rest — crucial preparation before crossing the high pass.

28/03 Day 8 – Trek to Chhukung (4,730 m)

A shorter trekking day as we move closer to Kongma La Pass. 

Duration: 3 hours.

29/03 Day 9 – Cross Kongma La Pass (5,535 m) → Lobuche (4,910 m)

High pass crossing, a long and demanding day, with big views and a real sense of achievement.

Duration: 8- 9 hours. Altitude gain : 805 meters (Chhukung to Kongma-La) Altitude loss : 625 meters (Kongma-la to Lobuche)

30/03 Day 10 — Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,140m) , Everest Base Camp (5,364m), return to Lobuche (4,910m)

Another big day on the trail — and the point where you say goodbye to the group continuing on the full Three Passes route.

Trek to Gorak Shep, continue to Everest Base Camp, then return to Lobuche. Duration: 8–9 hours. Overnight: Lobuche

31/03 Day 11 — Lobuche to Phortse (3840m)

Descend from Lobuche towards Phortse. Duration: 7–8 hours

01/04 Day 12 — Phortse to Khumjung (3,790m)

Trek to Khumjung, a beautiful Sherpa village above Namche. Duration: 5–6 hours

02/04 Day 13 — Khumjung to Phakding (2,610)

Continue descending through the Khumbu region towards Phakding. Duration: 5–6 hours

03/04 Day 14 — Phakding to Lukla (2,860m)

Final trekking day back to Lukla. Duration: 3–4 hours

04/04 Day 15 — Fly from Lukla to Ramechhap / Manthali - Kathmandu

Morning flight from Lukla to Ramechhap, then return journey towards Kathmandu.

Flight: approx. 30 minutes If direct flights to Kathmandu are available, you will fly to Kathmandu instead.

05/04 Day 16 — Contingency / rest day in Kathmandu

Buffer day in Kathmandu in case of flight delays, bad weather, or for rest and shopping.

06/04 Day 17 —Departure

NOTES

Anything not specifically listed in the “Included” section is not part of the package.

If, for any reason, an early return to Kathmandu is required, any additional accommodation or meals beyond what is included in the itinerary would be payable by the participant.

Any additional personal expenses or costs incurred during the trek, outside of the planned itinerary, would be the participant’s responsibility.
