- Ethereum developers activated the Pectra upgrade, the largest update since the 2022 Merge, at epoch 364032, introducing 11 Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) aimed at enhancing user experience, validator operations, and Layer 2 scalability.

- Key features of the upgrade include EIP-7702 for account abstraction, EIP-7251 allowing higher validator limits, and EIP-7691 which doubles blob throughput for Layer 2 scalability.

- The upgrade also improves staking efficiency and validator onboarding, with EIP-6110 reducing activation time from 12 hours to about 13 minutes.

- Pectra builds upon the Dencun upgrade and addresses network inefficiencies while laying the groundwork for future enhancements like the upcoming Fusaka upgrade.
