I ordered in and the owner made some really great recommendations. I ordered the Tokyo po'boy with an egg and the 405 burger. Both were amazing but the po'boy was definitely my favorite. It comes with fried soft shell crab which was nice and crispy and when combined with the egg it was perfection! The egg yolk gave it a nice umami flavor. We also ordered the French fries with bacon jam and those were yummy as well! The fries are super decadent and the bacon has a slightly sweet taste. The owner recommended us places to go picnicking which was also greatly appreciated. I can't wait to come back!

They have locations all over the US and sometimes I will shop at this Whole Foods, which is entirely out-of-the-way for me, just so I can get a breakfast sandwich, salad, or burger. Food: I don't have one item that is my absolute favorite I try something new every time and always love when I order. Their salads are especially delicious, if you're like me and I've been vegan for a while you know how hard it is to get a delicious and hearty salad so I really appreciate the yummy, hearty salads! Staff: given I am a vegan I'm not used to having options so often find myself overwhelmed when ordering. The staff here is always so helpful and answers all of my questions, helping me decide what to get. They're always smiley, enthusiastic, and sincerely helpful. Their coffee is also delicious. I wish I could say more about the food but they only have one or two vegan options and I can't have any of the pastries because they aren't vegan. I would love to see them start to carry some more vegan treats so that I could come here more frequently! Staff: The staff is always incredibly friendly and helpful, especially because I'm vegan and have questions about what is and is not vegan. Continue reading Before I get started, I just want to share that I've had background in restaurant business for 6 years consecutively and customer service for more than 10+ years. I wanted to mention this because I really do want to give a constructive review for this spot. Ambiance? Great! I really love the set up, the color schemes and the location (I love the marina and union in particular) Tables were a bit too close to each other in my opinion but what can they do, it's literally limited space so i don't blame them but it's something to keep in mind. Wait time was pretty long (3+hrs) when we were trying to make a reservation online and through the phone which I think was a good sign because that means they were popping so I was really excited! Luckily we went to there in person to just check in and see what's up but lo and behold, we got a spot! You might be wondering, "everything seems fine so far but why 2 stars?" Here we go! Before we were even seated, we already got an attitude from the host like he didn't want to help us out which I definitely understand because it really is busy and I bet they have so much they have to work on but I guess since it was our first time there, i was a bit more attentive on every details. Anyways, I shrugged it off and moved on since he started explaining that the timeframe is 1 and 30 min and we have to wear our masks at all times when anybody is around to help us out (which I thought was cool) and we were like We sat down and it took 30 minutes for someone to notice us and we even have to get their attention just to get our drinks started so now we only have an hour left. Ordered 3 pitchers of margarita fearing that we might not have enough time to enjoy ourselves if we hit the time frame that we were given. Took awhile again to receive our drinks maybe 10-15 and when it was delivered by the runner, we ended up asking him questions about the food because it was so hard to get our servers attention. Now the servers shows up we ordered food, and mind you we roughly have 30-45 min left because of all the waiting and yes I was timing it because I'm not gonna be that difficult guest and I want to help out as I know how that feels. We finally get our food and we were having fun when we got a reminder by our host that we have 10 min left and so we're like "okay!" And started munching on, at this point some of us had only two bites of whatever we ordered and we get another "guys you only have 10 min left, do you want boxes so you can put it away?" At this point I'm like "Uhm, no thank you we'll just finish them" and literally was forcing my friends to finish up so at this point the evening was spoiled because of that. Several minute passes, and we get these death stare, and I I don't even know what happened to our server so we asked this other lady host (I believe) if we could get our check because we felt like we were so rushed we didn't even got to enjoy the food. Anyways, this is such a whole long rant already. Food for thought, I know it's the pandemic and there's rules and policies that we MUST follow, trust me, I understand that 100 percent but being able to adapt on specific situations and catering to the needs of your guests should also be a priority. We weren't there to just sit and hang, we were there to have dinner and enjoy each other's company. I could care less about how much money I spend when it's about enjoying my friends and family. It seems like everybody's being pulled too thin and in different directions due to the busy atmosphere so hire someone extra and sacrifice a little bit of your labor budget to get the quality service you're trying to provide to your guests and the quality service that youre guests are expecting. If I'm going to be spending ~$500 for 4 different types of tacos, 3 pitchers of margarita, a couple shots and some guacamole, well I'll be damned. I'd rather just buy the ingredients at a cheaper price and have a quality dinner at home without having to feel the rush to eat my food and not have to worry about no service at all since that's the whole experience anyways. Might try them again, might update the review, I might not, I don't really know. I'll let this disappointed feelings die down a bit and rethink about it. It's hard supporting local businesses/restaurants if this is what you're getting tbh.
