I inherited this 1997 Escort station wagon from my father who bought it used, and it was the best gift he ever gave me. The bucket seat fits me perfectly---never get cramps from long trips. It has never caused me a stitch of trouble---of course, I use full synthetic oil and the best filter and change it every 3000 miles. She only goes to a trusted dealership for service, so no jack mechanic messes with her---and the dealership seems to take pride in keeping this old Ford on the road. She has a manual tranny which I do not abuse. I don't take her out on rough roads and bang her around---she's not a 4X4. She has 320,000 miles on her, and I've never done anything but manual-prescribed maintenance. Her motor is still quiet and strong, and the mechanics tease me and say my family will need to bury her with me because my car apparently loves me as much as I love her. I bought an HHR with an AUTOMATIC tranny because I was having two knee replacement surgeries. It was supposed to get around 30 miles to the gallon----NOT! But, my old Escort gets better gas mileage than that. My local auto parts sales guy had an Escort SW like mine, and he gave it to his daughter when she went off to college. She totaled it out in a wreck with around 250,000 miles on it, but we always chat about how wonderful these cars are---and how insurance companies would give me NOTHING for mine in a wreck, despite its real value to me!! I wish Ford would still make a vehicle as practical and reliable as this one. From what I read, they haven't done it, and don't seem inclined to do it. So, I hang on to mine and am good to her, because she's got a lot of miles on her, like me.

I live a very long distance away (1.5 hours one way), and the dealership even sent two drivers to come to my home and pick up the two cars I was trading in. The only reason for 4 stars in the buying process category was because the gas tank was totally empty when I left. Other than that oversight, I am very happy with Pinckney Chrysler Dodge.

I loved the car. I named her Berths. She had the most beautiful stance. Green with two gold stripes running down her sides. I wish I never sold her because she was amazing on gas, she got 30 miles to the gallon, at a healthy age of 175000 miles. The feeling I got when I sat in the drivers seat was unmatched. It felt like I could go anywhere and do anything. If I could I'd try to get the escort back. She drove like you were on a cloud.

I bought this car in October 2013 to learn to drive stick. It had 150,000 miles on it. It has never left me stranded. Easy car to Learn to drive stick, great on fuel. I have put on over 10,000 miles on with no major work. Replace the air condition, tune up, front tires, and brakes and rotors. My only complain is that it has started vibrate a little more than usual and lacks power. Going to try to try some bake maintaince

I bought the 1998 Escort SE brand new back in 1998. And from day one I knew it was a wise and sound decision to have been made. It never required much up keep except for the standard oil changes, tune up, tires and brakes. It was not a high thrill car and I did not expect as much when I bought it. I wanted a dependable and reliable car. I was not disappointed. I drove it pretty much everyday both city and highway, a lot of highway driving. Up and down the east coast from North Carolina to Vermont and back multiple times . And the way the car handled in the snow, very nice, sure footed and stable. I owned for 18 years, each day it started up with no problems. I sold it back in 2016 after it had sat untouched for about 5 months with 181,000 miles on it. After that length of time I thought it would not start without a jump, to my high surprise it fired to life as soon as the key was turned. Every electrical part under the hood was original when I sold it, alternator, power steering and even the water pump. The buyer had no concerns buying it from me after a quick test drive. If you take care of this car and do what is needed to maintain it, it will last. If Ford was to ever make another Escort with the same specs and to the same standards it did for the 1998 Escort I would buy one without question.

The car is an older model so at first I worried that it would not be in great condition. However, despite it's age it seems to be in excellent condition. Both the outside and the inside of the car look to be very well taken care of. The motor also sounds good and all the fluids have been holding up well. I have only had the car for a short time, but so far it has been running very well. I am very pleased.
I bought this car used. Had to have all the motor mounts and transmission mount replaced - has to be all at the same time - to get rid of a bad vibration. All told, I spent about what the blue book value was. The car is fine now, and I get about 33mpg city/highway. I think the moon roof is cool.

My husband and I had a bad spin of luck with cars. We just had to purchase our 2nd car in less than 5 months. We used a Nissan Thoroughbred in October and it was fine but the sales people were very pushy and we felt shoved into making a decision quicker than what we were comfortable with. We found Car World through cars.com and we were not disappointed! It is not much to look at from the outside, but don't let it fool you! The customer service we received from Sergio was excellent. He was not pushy like many large dealership places are. He was more than happy to give us time to think about it without making us feel like the "deal" would be off the table if we took too long.

I bought a used 2005 Pontiac Sunfire two weeks ago from 507 Motorsports. Before I purchased the car, I had it professionally inspected for any issues (I paid $250 at Brown's Auto Care (nearby), to include a compression engine test - engine tests are expensive -- a regular inspection is about $100). The only issue that was found was a leaky oil seal. 507 Motorsports adjusted the price accordingly. One week later, I discovered that my windshield washer fluid dispenser wasn't working due to a huge crack in the reservoir. 507 Motorsports owner, Jason, tried to fix it for me for free with heavy duty epoxy, but there is still a small crack in it. He said that if I bring him a new water reservoir, then he'll fix it for free. I don't think that the car was sold to me with a broken reservoir (I checked it before leaving the lot, and the windshield washer fluid dispenser worked). After I bought the car, several people (snow tire installers, back-up camera installers, Brown's Auto Care - to fix the leaky oil seal) messed around near that area, and perhaps it was accidentally cracked. At any rate, I bought a car in good mechanical condition (the important stuff is working perfectly) with new tires at 507 Motorsports for a really good price, so I'm happy (I discovered that when I had my snow tires installed that my car came with new all-season tires). My recommendation is that if you are serious about buying a car at 507 Motorsports (or any used car dealership that doesn't offer a warranty/guarantee), it's best to pay $100 or so for a semi-thorough inspection at a nearby auto shop, and if something is broken, the dealership will work with you to fix it before you buy it because they want happy customers. Otherwise, go to a place that sells certified, warrantied pre-owned vehicles (you will be paying much, much more for the car than a measly $100 inspection) and buy your car there.

This vehicle is reliable, good gas mileage and never lets you down. It has gotten me through snowstorms and heavy rain. I've travelled across the country and never gave it a second thought. When repairs were needed it was cheap to do so.

This car is a beast! I've replaced the clutch flywheel, slave cylinder, & alternator; other than that, I've just done routine maintenance. It still averages 30mpg in Seattle-area traffic. Its only real issue is that I have to get WA emissions testing waivers as too many systems show "not ready". Mechanic says the computer resets itself when I over-rev the engine. Excellent car

I have owned my 2001 ZX2 automatic for over 3 years. I knew after 5 minutes of driving it that I had to have one. Why? Because there is no hesitation at all when you hit the gas and it probably has even better acceleration than the 6-cylinder Firebird I owned in the 80's or the Mercury Cougar I had in the 70's. That's because it lighter weight without the extra pounds to slow you down, and because it has an overhead cam. Also because the steering wheel has a tight, precise feel and the car rides smooth and doesn't vibrate or rattle. According to the reviews it will do 0-60 in less than 8 seconds, and I don't think any other cheap 4-cylinders can, even brand new. Also, the interior of mine is a nice looking tan color which is a nice change from the boring gray or black that most cars have. Plus it has only the most sensible options like cruise control, stereo, and power mirrors. Also gets great gas mileage. The only drawback is the vast amount of parts and labor that have been required. Best performing car I ever owned, but also required the most repairs. In the past 35,000 miles It required a new transmission, a new radiator, a new air conditioner, a new timing belt, and a few other things. Now it has 105,000 miles and I hope I am out of the woods for now because to trade for a new car now would be trading down as far as handling and performance is concerned. THEY DON'T MAKE THEM LIKE THIS ANY MORE.

This car is by far the best choice for a starter car or for the person who just likes to go and not have to worry. The only issue you could have with this car being a two door coupe is if you have small children still in rear facing car seats but my older children love climbing into their car seats in the backseat because they sitt up high and can see everything. Any issues I've had with this car have been minor fixes. And this car is definitely an easy car to work on yourself and save money you'd normally pay a mechanic. Besides issues with rocker panels rotting out and the floor behind the drivers seat this car takes a beating and keeps on ticking. I use it like it is an off road pick-up and take it to many Rocky and dangerous terrain areas and it has always got me back home safely and in one piece. I've actually purchased another 1999 escort zx2 to fix up and also drive it too and would buy yet another one in a heartbeat.
Sales, Ron was an easy person to deal with open with his opinion on used vehicles. We were not able to find a vehicle at this time but will be back to deal with Ron and Corwin Wholesale.

Since moving to Springfield I have used Reliable's service department for my regular maintenance and most recently an allignment. Every time I go in the staff is courteous, the facilities are clean and stocked with refreshments, and they're accurate in their time estimations. The mobile app that is available to use for setting appointments and reviewing my service history is great! Their service technicians remember who you are even if it's been a few months since they've seen you. Derek has been my service technician every time I've gone in and I trust his recommendations and his work! The staff in the department that performed my allignment was amazing as well; they checked in on me to give updates throughout the process. I will continue to use Reliable as my service center and they will be front of mind when it comes time to purchase again!

I bought the car in 2001 with 24,000 miles on it. It now has 180,000 miles. AC went out about 3 years ago. I think it needs compressor. I haven't repaired it. It still gets 28-33 mpg. Paint is still exceptionally good! A magnificent car!
