A photographer has completed a unique photo series, which has seen him shoot a naked woman in an abandoned location in every US state.
Brian Cattelle really does capture the bare bones of the haunting spots, with his series featuring nude models everywhere from amusement parks to power plants.
The idea for the series - titled Bare USA - came to Cattelle in 2014, when he was photographing abandoned locations in his native Florida.
Photographer Brian Cattelle travelled across every state in America where he photographed a naked model in an abandoned building, here he is photographing a girl inside St Marie's Hospital in Montana during a year-long journey where he slept in his car
Cattelle, here photographing Hartsville Nuclear Power Station in Tennessee, decided to complete his journey with black and white images
At the start, Cattelle tried to source his models, such as this girl pictured at the Joyland Amusement Park in Kansas though Craigslist
When shooting, the photographer, who himself was once homeless, attempts to capture the contrast of natural beauty and manmade decay. He used the internet to help find nude models for each location, while he travelled around the nation in a converted van.
He said: 'One day I was exploring a place with a friend of mine and I turned to see him standing in a shaft of light coming in through the roof.
'I thought it was a cool picture, but it would be even better if he was a naturally beautiful nude women.
'I think most would assume why a man would think that, but I was more interested in the idea that something so beautiful and pure didn't belong in a place so decrepit and lost.'
However, nude models on Craigslist were not interested in his plan to capture images such as this in the New York Farm Colony, New York
Instead, he sourced girls through a specialist website ten percent, such as this girl at the Beury Building in Philadelphia, responded
Cattelle, from Delray Beach in Florida raised more than $20,000 on a crowd funding website to pay for his year-long endeavour
This time Cattelle invites the model to the RC Cola Warehouse in Florida, where the building has been attacked by graffiti vandals
The former congregation of the City Methodist Church in Idaho might not appreciate the nude woman standing in their former church
Cattelle, 33, set off on his travels on June 28 2014 and completed the series with a final shoot in Hawaii, in November 2015.
He travelled around the country in his 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe, which the photographer had modified by removing the back two seats and adding a mattress to sleep.
On his travels, the Cattelle carried out a lot of research in order to find the perfect spots to shoot.
The most helpful sources of information were the likes of Google Maps, Wikipedia, forums and discussions with urban explores.
Three of the most common abandoned locations Cattelle discovered on his trip were schools, hospitals and military facilities.
Cattelle took numerous photographs of each location, here placing the model by a window at the St Marie Hospital, Montana
Here Cattelle has asked the model to stand in the corner of the Globe Grain Elevator in Wisconsin as part of the Bare USA series
This time the model poses in the abandoned Fisher Body Plant in Detroit, Michigan, which Cattelle discovered on the internet
This model perches herself on a sink inside this abandoned shack on Hogback Mountain in Vermont for her starring role in the series
He added: 'I wanted to show it was possible to make a whole project consisting of nude women in abandoned places in a very and artistic way which was a challenge in itself.
'I hoped to express a sense of vulnerability in the world both between the natural and that which we create.
'I worked with and depicted real women and real locations so the vast beauty that can be found everywhere in everyone and everything.'
In order to source models, Cattelle, from Delray Beach, Florida, USA, initially turned to Craiglist, but had little success.
In Maryland, Cattelle discovered the Forest Haven Asylum and placed his model among some of the inmate's abandoned luggage

There are many naval personnel who would have loved to have seen a naked woman at Charleston Naval Hospital in South Carolina

This model is photographed at Belchertown State School, Massachusetts in another of Cattelle's increasingly eerie images
In this image, the model is photographed inside the Cinclare Plantation Sugar Mill in Louisiana, a favourite urban explorer site
Here Cattelle has asked his model to stand inside the door of an abandoned bus in the Greater Rocky Mount area in North Carolina
He eventually decided to use a model-sourcing website, Model Mayhem, from which he said around 10 percent of nude models he contacted would respond.
He said: 'It takes a very courageous model to consider venturing into a creepy abandoned building, naked, with a stranger.'
While travelling, Cattelle raised more than $20,000 in crowd-sourced funding, which helped him to complete the trip.
Having now finished the project - which Cattelle shot completely in black and white - the photographer is looking to turn the 50-state collection into a book.
He added: 'I think doing this project, and making it this far, is a true testament to the idea that you can do what you want.
'Try telling your mum you're going to travel the country and take photos of nude women in abandoned buildings.
'I just happened to be in a place in my life where I really believed I could do it, so I set out to do it and just didn't stop, no matter what.'
This model sits at the top of the Horn Silver Mine in Utah which was discovered around 1875 and for a time was the richest in the world
This model is sprawled across the Marine Stadium in Florida which was opened in 1963 before being shut down in 1992
