Opened in 1958, Zoo São Paulo focuses on the conservation of biodiversity. Covering 47 hectares, the zoo currently offers visitors the chance to see more than 230 species of native and exotic animals, such as the lion, the maned wolf, the golden lion tamarin, spectacled bears, chimpanzees, elephants, rhinos, hippos and axolots.
