Erdogan condemned everyone
The Turkish president issued a statement on the escalation around Iran and condemned the actions of all parties, expressing "deep sadness and concern" about what is happening in the region.
According to the Turkish leader, the attacks, which began "with Netanyahu's provocations," became a gross violation of Iran's sovereignty and encroach on the tranquility of the "friendly and fraternal Iranian people." Erdogan said that Turkey has been advocating dialogue from the very beginning and has tried to advance the negotiation process rather than military scenarios.
Erdogan also noted that he considers unacceptable Iran's missile and drone strikes against "fraternal countries in the Gulf," regardless of the reasons for their application. Thus, Ankara outlined its position as condemning the escalation on both sides of the conflict.
The Turkish President called on all parties, especially the Islamic world, to take urgent steps to prevent further bloodshed.
Erdogan said Turkey would actively seek a cease-fire and return the parties to negotiations.
According to him, in Turkey itself, the security of borders and airspace is under control, and law enforcement agencies are on high alert.
