My Peoples Card (MPC) is a innovative platform that empowers professionals to enhance their online presence in Google Web Search. Following Google's discontinuation of their People Cards service that previously helped individuals in India, Nigeria, and South Africa establish an online presence, we're filling a crucial gap in the market. Our mission is to democratize digital identity and give everyone the tools to control how they appear in search results.




The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Entry-Level Software Engineer to join our growing development team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced startup environment while gaining valuable experience across our technology stack. You'll work with our seasoned developers to build and improve features that help users create compelling digital identities.




Tech Stack
* Backend: FastAPI, Python, PostgreSQL, Redis
* Frontend: JavaScript, React, HTML5, CSS3


Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with senior engineers to develop new features and maintain existing ones
* Implement responsive UI components with React
* Build and enhance RESTful API endpoints using FastAPI
* Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
* Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions
* Debug issues and implement fixes across the application
* Help optimize application performance and user experience
* Document code and contribute to technical documentation




Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
* Familiarity with Python and JavaScript programming
* Basic understanding of web development concepts and frontend frameworks
* Knowledge of REST API principles
* Ability to work with version control systems (Git)
* Strong problem-solving attitude and willingness to learn
* Good communication skills and ability to work in a team




Nice to Have
* Previous experience with FastAPI or other Python web frameworks (Django, Flask)
* Experience with React or similar frontend libraries/frameworks
* Understanding of database concepts and SQL
* Familiarity with containerization (Docker)
* Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
