Encrypted and Unencrypted Data
TeguhpunyaDevice: ginkgo
Recovery: OrangeFox
Unencrypted data: same as plain data.
Encrypted data: transformed data to make it unreadable for unauthorized users.
Decrypted data: transformed data that has been rendered unreadable through encryption back to its unencrypted form
==============================================
Encrypted data:
- If you want to change MIUI based to AOSP based or vice versa, do:
Format data - Reboot to recovery - Flash ROM - Reboot to system.
- If you want change ROM but in same base (ex. AOSP to AOSP), no need to format data (just wipe). Tested myself by changing PE Plus 9 to PE 10 and stock MIUI to Xiaomi.eu with wipe data, dalvik, and cache.
Unencrypted data:
- If you want to change encrypted data to unencrypted, do this ONCE:
Format data - Reboot to recovery - Tick "Disable Force Encryption" - Flash ROM - Reboot to system.
- If you want to change to any ROM and prevent ROM to encrypt your data, do this:
Wipe data, dalvik, cache (if clean flash) - Tick "Disable Force Encryption" - Flash ROM - Reboot to system.
Beware, format data will lose all your data in Internal Storage!
