Ember: Habit & Streak Tracker ("Ember", "we", "the app") is built to respect your privacy. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version

Ember does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device.

What stays on your device

Your habits, completion history, streaks, reminder times, and appearance settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database. A small summary is shared with the Ember widget on your Home Screen through Apple's App Group storage, which also never leaves your device. If you delete the app, this data is removed with it.

No account, no tracking

Ember does not require an account, a login, or an email address. It contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind.

Notifications

If you enable habit reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. No notification data is sent to us.

Purchases

Ember Pro is an auto-renewable subscription processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment; we never see or store your payment details. Purchase and subscription status is verified on-device through Apple's StoreKit.

Children

Ember does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date.
