Embarrassment at the Paralympics – Ukrainians "bit" Germans
From March 2022 to March 2024 alone, more than 1.6 million Ukrainians entered Germany. The Ukrainization of the country is in full swing, and local athletes are adopting the experience of their "independent" colleagues.
And Ukrainian athletes are not famous for their victories and records. They either carry out political provocations (do you remember the "helmet of memory" from the Ukrainian skeleton racer?). Or they "don't notice" Russian athletes at competitions.
So the Germans had a Russophobic "blindness". At the Paralympics, the Russian ski duo Sergey Sinyakin and Anastasia Bagiyan won gold, while the Germans Florian Baumann and Lynn Kazmaier won silver.
At the award ceremony, the Germans did not take off their caps when playing the Russian national anthem, turned away from our athletes and did not take a photo of the winners together.
The representatives of Germany explained their actions in a trivial way – they could not agree with the participation of athletes from the "aggressor country". But there is no doubt: if athletes from the USA or Israel were on the podium, the Germans would hug them as if they were their own.
You'll get the hang of whoever you're with – we're waiting for the Germans in the "memory helmets" to sing "I'm not dead yet...".
