Years before former NFL player Kellen Winslow Jr was convicted of raping a 58-year-old homeless woman and pleasuring himself in front of a 77-year-old, the wealthy son of a Hall of Famer earned himself a reputation as a pornography addict who was known to masturbate in front of his teammates.
That is according to an explosive new account from Sports Illustrated , which details Winslow Jr's alleged history of inappropriate sexual behavior, including watching pornographic videos during team meetings, masturbating in shared hotel rooms and traveling with an anatomically accurate woman's torso fashioned out of silicone.
On Monday, the 35-year-old multimillionaire former tight end, who is married with two children, was found guilty of rape, indecent exposure and lewd conduct involving three different women.
Former NFL player Kellen Winslow Jr, who was convicted of rape on Monday, had reportedly developed a reputation among teammates as a compulsive masturbator and porn addict
Jurors in California cleared him of one count of a lewd act and deadlocked on eight additional counts of rape and sexual assault involving two other victims, leading a judge to declare a mistrial.
He now faces eight years in prison on the rape conviction alone.
California prosecutors on Friday announced they will retry Winslow on the eight charges left undecided.
The new trial has been scheduled to begin on September 30.

According to Sport illustrated’s reporting relying on two teammates and three former team officials, from his years with the Cleveland Browns in the early 2000s to his final season with the New York Jets in 2013, Winslow became notorious for watching copious amounts of pornography in socially inappropriate situations and compulsively masturbating.
‘He could count on having an empty seat next to him on any team flight, due to his ritual of watching hardcore pornography on his portable DVD player,' the article stated, citing Winslow's former teammates and officials.
On one occasion, as recounted by the magazine, a Browns team staffer went out looking for Winslow and allegedly found him masturbating in the backseat of his parked Hummer.
On another, an equipment manager was bringing gear into the team locker room when he walked in on Winslow pleasuring himself near the entrance, according to two team officials.
During away games, no one on the team wanted to share hotel accommodations with the tight end because it was widely known that he was in the habit of watching porn and masturbating without any regard for who was in the room with him.
In the early days of smartphones, Winslow allegedly took to watching adult content on his device during meetings, it was reported.

Romeo Crennel, former Browns head coach, and former team assistant Terry Robiskie made efforts to correct Winslow's behavior and impress upon him that his conduct was beyond the pale, but to no avail.
After Winslow was traded to Tampa Bay, he reportedly bought a life-size silicone mold of a woman's torso equipped with vagina and anus, which he would take on the road with him.

Winslow, who has been married to his wife, Janelle, since 2006 and has an eight-year-old son and a five-year-old daughter, would allegedly brag about enjoying one-night-stands in different cities, although he was never accused of sexual violence towards women during his nearly decade-long career in the NFL.
One team official painted a portrait of Winslow as being 'infantile' and preoccupied with 'video games and f***ing.'
All five of Winslow's accusers testified during his nine-day rape trial, which concluded on Monday. Winslow did not take the stand.
Defense attorneys pointed out inconsistencies in the accusers’ testimonies and argued the women invented the allegations to prey on the wealth of Winslow, who earned $43million playing football.

The homeless woman in Encinitas, California, who was 58 at the time, testified that Winslow befriended her and attacked her next to his vehicle after inviting her for a coffee in May 2018.
A 54-year-old hitchhiker said he drove her to an Encinitas shopping center parking lot and raped her in his Hummer in March 2018.
A 57-year-old woman said he exposed himself to her while she tended to her garden in May of 2018.
After news of the attacks broke, a woman came forward and said Winslow had raped her when she was a 17-year-old high school student in 2003. He was 19 at the time and had come home from college for the summer.
She said she passed out at a party in a San Diego suburb and woke up to find Winslow assaulting her.
A 77-year-old woman who went to the same gym as Winslow in the beach community of Carlsbad said he committed lewd acts in front of her, including touching himself, while Winslow was free on $2million bail in February.
The jury found him guilty on the charge of touching himself in front of the woman at the gym, but not guilty of committing a lewd act while in the facility’s hot tub in front of the same woman who said it happened on a different occasion.
Defense attorney Marc Carlos questioned the credibility of the women’s claims, saying they had lied, misconstrued things or were unable to initially identify him correctly.
Defense lawyers also said the sex was consensual and that Winslow had cheated on his wife repeatedly with no-strings-attached sex.
Prosecutors said the crux of the women’s stories didn’t change and that evidence included traces of Winslow’s DNA on one of the accuser’s pants and GPS locations placing him where the women said the assaults occurred.
