UFC fans got just a tiny bit more show then they paid for during a women’s bantamweight fight between Elizabeth Phillips and Jessamyn Duke that took place on the Fight Pass prelims of UFC on FOX 16.
Elizabeth Phillips went on to win a unanimous decision against Rousey’s training partner Duke, but lost the battle of not showing her nipples when her Reebok sports bra was temporarily pulled up. A last ditch armbar attempt from her opponent Duke caused the wardrobe malfunction.

Last night at UFC on FOX 16 we saw the first wardrobe malfunction of the Reebok gear. It happened during Elizabeth Phillips win over Jessamyn Duke, which aired on Fight Pass. Phillips was trying to hold on from armbar’d and Duke’s leg pushed up her top slightly as she just had the arm right before the bell rang.
Twitter and MMA forums have blown up over the brief flash and apparently Fight Pass has been edited down. Nipples haven’t made this much of a splash in the MMA world since the good ol’ Team Jackson nipple pinching days.

Elizabeth Phillips won by unanimous decision against Jessamyn Duke at UFC on Fox 16. During that fight, Phillips not only experienced the first ever ‘nip-slip’ in UFC history, but also went on to experience the second— both while off her back. The incident triggered other female fighters, like Miesha Tate, to take necessary wardrobe precautions and raise questions about Reebok’s seemingly flawed female sportswear apparel.
Eder Jones celebrated his victory at a PRIME MMA event in Brazil in style— by projectile vomiting all over the mat. After getting his arm raised by the ref, Jones just couldn’t hold back.
Matt Hughes isn’t shy to go there— trolling Frank Trigg with a dubious-looking photo of himself holding up one of Trigg’s nude photography spreads. Hughes certainly got a kick out of embarrassing Trigg both online and in the cage— winning in two title defenses by first-round rear-naked choke.
Fighters get into all kinds of crazy positions during fights, but let’s face it— opinions on pictures at moments like these likely vary dramatically. Miesha Tate is probably not the biggest fan of this one, but she undoubtedly has some fond memories of that night as she won the Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Championship against Marloes Coenen.
Dana probably doesn’t look as uncomfortable as he should in this picture that he took with Tiki Ghosn. Then again, he also didn’t when Tito Ortiz decided to plant a wet one on him on live television. Awkward— let’s never speak of this again.
Heavyweight Travis Wolford literally s*** himself during a fight for Ruckus in the Cage in late 2015 and the incident went viral in all of its glory. All things considered, a s****y situation.
Hey, at least Ronda seems to be enjoying herself after her title defense victory against Cat Zingano at UFC 184. I think it’s fairly obvious that this barrel of laughs probably wouldn’t have made the cut in her fitness or fashion-modeling portfolio.

The Reebok deal is absolutely awful for the men fighting in the UFC because it takes so darn much money out of their pocket. It’s even worse for women, though, because it takes money out of their pocket and there’s a pretty darn good chance that their boobs are going to pop out while being filmed on national TV.

We already had one blatant on-camera nip slip a few months back with Elizabeth Phillips having her REEBOK SPORTS BRA!!!! get pulled up during a grappling exchange. At UFC Fight Night 86, there was another one that happened, albeit less obvious.
During the fight between Maryna Moroz and Cristina Stanciu, a front kick dragged down Moroz’s REEBOK SPORTS BRA!!!! and left her hanging out. You can check out the sequence on the next page.
