El-Kuran El-Kareem Privacy Policy
Ali-Malik AzzawiEl-Kuran El-Kareem · Last updated October 10, 2026
El-Kuran El-Kareem (“the app”) is developed by Ali-Malik Azzawi. This policy explains what information the app uses and why. In short: the app does not collect, store, or share any personal information on servers of its own, has no accounts, and contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking.
Information that stays on your device
Your bookmarks, last-read page, reading preferences, prayer settings, and the last location used for prayer times are saved only on your device. They are never sent to the developer. Deleting the app removes them.
Location
If you allow it, the app uses your device’s approximate location to calculate prayer times and the direction of the Qibla. These calculations happen entirely on your device. To show the name of your city, the app asks Apple’s Maps service to look up the place name for your coordinates; this request is handled by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can turn off location access at any time in Settings, and the app will show prayer times for Makkah instead.
Compass
The Qibla compass reads your device’s heading on the device. This information is not stored or shared.
Recitation audio
Recitations are streamed from way2quran.com. As with any website, their servers receive your device’s IP address in order to deliver the audio. The app sends them nothing else. Their handling of that information is governed by their own policies.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
