A schoolboy in Russia has won a month living with a porn star as a prize in an online competition.
Ruslan Schedrin, 16, was told he qualifies to spend a month in a Moscow hotel with the voluptuous Ekaterina Makarova.
He appears delighted about the prize, saying the X-rated actress has 'good sizes' and he is 'boiling inside' - but his mother and sister have reacted furiously.

'I didn't believe it at first, I thought it was rubbish,' he said. 'But when it turned out to be true, I thanked the website, I was so happy.
'I called my friends and they did not believe it either, they said: "What are you talking about?"'
Ruslan, who has worked as a child actor, added: 'Now they are happy for me too. Some of them are envious.
'I saw her and I liked everything, she has got good sizes.... and so on. I am looking forward to our meeting so much, everything is boiling inside me. I am happy so much.
'I have told my mother and she has taken it badly, but I think we'll sort it out. When I meet the girl, I'll say: "Hi, I am that very boy, I've won you."'
His mother Vera Schedrina said: 'I am absolutely against it. He has got exams, he is studying.
'What do you mean - a month with a porn star?
'This is not real at all, even a week is too much. They should give us 100,000 roubles instead, we'll be happy with it.

'Such a prize, how could they get such an idea for a 16 year old boy. I am shocked. I have not seen the girl. But my son must study.'
Under the rule of the competition, he can pass on the prize to his 'official representative', for example, his father. But the mother is against this too.
She said the prize has led to family 'quarrels' and her son 'has gone mad about it' .
Ruslan's sister Diana Schedrina, 17, said: 'I'm against it too. I don't think it is any kind of chance for him. He can find a girlfriend if he likes.
'I wonder about this prize: what if a married man had won it? Or even a young girl, I know some of them enjoy playing these games too?
'It is totally the wrong idea for a prize.'

'We discussed it with the organisers earlier that the winner might be underage.
She would discuss with the teenage boy where they would stay for the prize - but she wanted 'to go on holiday somewhere abroad'.
'I will travel to Moscow and then the boy will decide,' she said.
'We will negotiate it with his mother too if he can live in a hotel with me, or fly with me somewhere.
Although Ruslan's mother is quoted saying the boy is 16, an official database lists him as being aged 14. The age of consent in Russia is 16
Asked if the prize meant having sex with the winner, she said: 'It is not supposed, but life is life.
'It is a usual thing when inexperienced boys are looking for more experienced girlfriends. I don't know. At least we'll be friends. I liked him in the photographs.'
She added: 'If he is not comfortable about a hotel, he can stay at home. He has to decide.'
Although his mother is quoted saying the boy is 16, an official database lists him as being aged 14. The age of consent in Russia is 16.

It is the sixth year since Ekaterina ascended the throne. Conditions are harsh, with all of Russia in danger of famine. The Orlov brothers make a reconnaissance to the border, where Turkish forces have raided and pillaged. Ekaterina gathers her counsel, looking for ways to respond against the Turks. The Empress prepares to marry her beloved Grigory upon his return, but some do not approve.
Stanislaw the Second, King of Poland, meets with Ekaterina to discuss relations between the two nations. Grigory returns, but brings along an illness within him. He, along with his brother, seek a treatment. Pavel Petrovich continues his lessons with Semyon Andreevich and inquires about the fate of his father. A Turkish ambassador makes his way to St. Petersburg.
Ivan Ivanovich arrives, taking up a position in Ekaterina's court. The Empress assigns a difficult task: to paint a portrait of her younger son, Alexey. Pavel Petrovich and Semyon Andreevich visit the summer palace, where Pavel learns more about his father. Lieutenant Potemkin continues his new post, as Ekaterina continues to keep her eyes on him.
Grigory denies the significance of his illness. The Turkish ambassador arrives, bearing many gifts for the Empress. She denies them, sending a message to Sultan Mustafa. Alexey Orlov pleads with the Empress to accept a rare breed of horse from the Turks but later attains it by his own means. Count Panin deals with the Turkish ambassador in the shadows.
A brilliant party ensues the palace and the nobles dance merrily amongst themselves. Anna Petrovna storms in, bringing along with her a deadly black small pox disease. Luckily, no one else is infected, but the fate of Anna is uncertain. Count Panin falls deeper into his gambling vice. Ekaterina's younger son arrives at the palace, but disappoints her. Pavel and Alexey become friends.
Alexey becomes more acquainted with Pavel and his friends. The Holy Synod attempts to put pressure on Ekaterina's decision to marry Grigory Orlov. Count Panin continues to reason for Pavel's sole right as the heir of the throne. The Russian ambassador arrives in Constantinople, but is clearly unwelcome. Ekaterina gives a difficult task to Sofya.
Ekaterina visits Anton Ulrich, who she has imprisoned for many years with his children. Pavel is furious with the Empress, but Sofya turns his focus. On the way back to St. Petersburg, the company stops by Saltykov's farming lands to check in on the production of vegetables. Little do they know, the serfs there are mistreated. A grand decision is made on the behalf of Nikita Ivanovich.
Information about Count Orlov's sickness is revealed. Ekaterina becomes uneasy with the news and begins to second guess a marriage to Grigory. Although Sofya attempts to curb the passion of Pavel, she successfully became pregnant. Ekaterina is pleased and prepares to find a bride for Pavel, as well as begins plans to build a monument in honor of Peter the Great.
Alexey Orlov is appointed the commander of Russian forces in the growing war against the Ottoman Empire. The Orlov brothers ambush Lieutenant Potemkin. Ekaterina's love for Girgory withers along with his health. Sofya is dismissed, Pavel becomes furious. Ekaterina is recognized as "Ekaterina the Great" for the first time.
Rumors of false heirs to the throne stir chaos. A reburial of Pavel's father is planned, but later cancelled. Pavel is once again furious with the Empress, but takes it farther. The Russian Navy faces impossible odds in a large battle at sea. Who will be victorious?
Ekaterina makes arrangements for Grigory's leaving of the palace. She confesses her love for Lieutenant Potemkin, urging him to come back form the battlefront. Three princesses from Denmark make their way to St. Petersburg. Pavel makes acquaintance with them, but Ekaterina has the final say.
A few years have passed. Pavel's new wife turns out to be unfaithful. Girgory Orlov goes mad. Ekaterina finds a German bride for Pavel. Discouraged by his late lover, Pavel does not expect to fall for the new princess. However, they fall for one another, get married, and have a child. Ekaterina takes the child, but later realizes her wrongdoing. Peter the Great's monument is finally complete.

Loved every thing about the series except the subtitles. I realize that it’s most appropriate to film this story in Russian, with Russian actors (who were excellent), but it’s tedious to watch hours and hours of a movie series with subtitles. Still, if you can get past that, it’s a great story that’s been well-told and beautifully shot. Costumes, makeup, etc of the period were well-depicted. In spite of the subtitles, it definitely deserves 5 stars.

A lush series about the life and times of Ekaterina II of Russia as she steered the empire through a turbulent transition from Peter the Great into a more modern day and time. The scenery is awesome, the music fits the era, the costumes are even better, and the story just flows with ease. The language is Russian and certainly the culture was imperial Russian. The English subtitles are so well done so that very soon one is not even realizing it is not English that one hears!

First 2 seasons are better than the 3rd. ECaterina is an excellent actress. Most acting is outstanding. 3rd season has a little too much sex stuff in it, almost like they were running out of material and we're trying to fill in spots and it was cheesy and a little gross.

I really did enjoy watching this series. I liked the acting the main character. I do recommend this series. It's loosly based in history. Be cautioned that the series is in Russian and that you'll have to read the subtitles.
