Hey y'all! In the past 48 hours, deviantart has sent me 2 "are you trying to reset your password?" email notifications. Which, I believe, means that someone other than me is trying to log into my account. Hello everyone! I just wanted to give y’all a heads up that I will soon be closing down my account on Eka’s Portal, if anyone follows me there.
I became aware of Eka’s policy on sexual depictions of minors after attempting to report an image that included a naked minor (specifically a NON aged-up character in popular media who is canonically around 8 years old) engaging in explicitly sexual activity with an adult canine character.
The response that I received was not taken seriously, and I was even scolded for making a report about it in the first place. I was called ignorant for not consulting a lawyer before reporting the incident, then called careless and malicious for reporting the artwork in question in the first place. The conversation ended with me being told by Eka to “find another site that will welcome individual like you”.
The fact that not only do the site admins turn a blind eye to this and even defend it, but also attack those who try to report it, tells me that this is not a place where I would WANT to be welcomed. I’d rather not have my work be enjoyed by adults who are sexually aroused by minors. I know I cannot control that completely, but what I CAN do is not support communities that DO support content that sexualizes children.
Luckily, all other sites I host my work on have clear policies against depicting children in pornography (yes, not even FurAffinity will touch child pornography, and does not allow sexual cub content). The discord is straight up foul at times, Eka gets mad if anyone doesnt "follow topics" or brings up issues they have with the site. Ekas also like...weird? They act like a robot but get super easily annoyied
