West Bromwich gal Ann-Marie and Wolverhampton's Zoe squared off
Get the latest Black Country news straight to your inbox
A counsellor from West Bromwich set tongues wagging last night - after she appeared on Naked Attraction looking for love.
The dating show in which everyone except presenter Anna Richardson ends up completely nude was either fascinating and daring entertainment or an outrageous example of TV lowering standards, depending on your point of view.
Either way, it gets people talking and is currently enjoying its fourth season.
West Bromwich gal Ann-Marie was in the orange box on the Channel 4 show, and showed her confidence during a chat with single lad Derry, who was hoping to bag a date.
When questioned on which body part she was most proud of, Ann-Marie said her private area - because that's where her "three beautiful children" came from.
But this may have tipped Derry over the edge - because he soon eliminated the 39-year-old.
"She is confident," Derry admitted, before adding: "Maybe too confident. I still need to have some control."
Ann-Marie may not have been the one for Derry - but social media users were quick to comment on her on Twitter.
Twitter users were full of praise for her personality, even if one did admit they were "scared" of the counsellor.
But another wrote: "Ann-Marie is lovely.
"Such a confident woman and with good reason, she looks great and has a strong personality to match."
She wasn't the only local girl featuring on the show, either, with Derry also eliminating Zoe from Wolverhampton.
Zoe was in the green box and was axed by Derry because of the size of her breasts.
Derry had earlier been forced to kiss Zoe's bum - which proudly displayed a "kiss me" tattoo.
"The only thing I can put it down to is breasts," Derry admitted.
"You did say you liked smaller boobs," host Anna Richardson said. "Green has got bigger boobs."
Zoe later told the camera: "I'm not gutted to be honest. He kissed my bum, so who's having the last laugh?"
A single man or woman is shown five potential suitors who are all naked, standing in cubicles behind frosted glass. They are slowly revealed from the feet up – first their genitals, then torsos, then heads. Then they are finally allowed to talk.
The choser picks one to go on a date with and also disrobes, before they head off together.
We then discover if they get on while clothed or whether the initial physical attraction can’t sustain a relationship.
They could end up having their date in an empty bar at 9am the next morning, as we discovered in our behind-the-scenes expose.
You’d have to be pretty body confident to go on.
But one local who did was Birmingham DJ Darryl Williams.
At the end of filming, he had whittled down six completely naked women down to two, Maria and Ashleigh.
He chose Maria because she had wiggled her bum – but he said he regretted it almost immediately.
“I thought ‘stick with your gut and go for the butt’ but it was a mistake,” he says now.
But all is not lost, because Darryl, 33, contacted Ashleigh Stroude through social media and they are now going on a date.
“There just wasn’t the chemistry with Maria,” explains Darryl.
