"I was overwhelmed, to the point where I was shaking."

EastEnders newcomer Bobby Brazier has spoken about his character Freddie Slater's upcoming storyline for the first time.
In July, show bosses announced Bobby's casting in the role of Freddie, who's the son of former regular Little Mo Slater.
Next week's episodes see Freddie arrive in Walford and mistakenly introduce himself as Billy Mitchell's son. It transpires that Freddie is unaware he was conceived when Little Mo was raped by Graham Foster in 2003.
Amid the confusion, Honey Mitchell steps in and encourages Billy to contact Little Mo about taking the honest approach with Freddie.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other media at a press conference recently, Bobby explained: "The scenes with Billy were a big moment for me – probably my biggest personal moment so far.
"I had an emotional scene where Freddie comes into the cafe and he's like: 'I don't want any bulls**t no more. Stop lying to me'. There is grief and anger, and Freddie is overwhelmed with emotion.
"The scene was filmed over lunch. Before lunch, I prepped but I hadn't really got into the emotion of Freddie. Over lunch, I decided to lock myself in my changing room, just getting the emotion of Freddie so I could really feel the character in the scene and understand it.
"I feel like I smashed it a bit! I was overwhelmed with emotion, to the point where I was shaking. It weren't me – it was Freddie. I can't describe it, but I was acting, you know?
"I went off after the scene finish and went round the corner so everyone else could finish the scene. As soon as they were done, Emma [Barton] and Perry [Fenwick] literally got up and came round the corner and gave me a kiss and a cuddle.
"I really appreciate stuff like that. I really value stuff like that. So that was a big moment for me. They made sure I knew I did well. I hope it's as good as I think it was!"
Bobby also opened up about the reaction to the news of his casting – and how he's finding life at EastEnders so far.
He said: "There's been so much support. It's been lovely. People are really excited to see Freddie. It's been received with a lot of love. I'm excited for everyone to see him and I feel supported. I feel like people want the best for me. I feel like people are supporting me.
"The fact that I feel that off set makes me feel more comfortable on set. It means I can learn quicker and just become a better actor, which is what I'm here to do.
"Freddie isn't trying to prove himself as a bad boy. He's got a lot of depth to him, but he's also a lad in the way he does silly things and he's reckless. But it always comes from that depth of love."
Asked whether he has been welcomed into the fold by the EastEnders team, Bobby replied: "I could talk about it all day! Everyone, from the scriptwriters, to [executive producer] Chris Clenshaw, the caterers and all the cast. There are a lot of people who have made me feel so welcome so quickly.
"I feel really lucky. Very early on, I slid into a place of calmness and because of that, I feel like it will translate on screen. I don't want to look stupid on screen, like I don't know what I'm doing. But everyone around me is making me so comfortable.
"I had Zoom calls before coming in and people said: 'It's like a family here, there's a lot of love here'. I was like: 'Yeah, yeah, sure'.
"But I came in and I felt it straight away, by everyone. I want to give a special mention to Lacey Turner as well. Lacey feels like home. She doesn't realise how beautiful and funny she is. She's great. But I could say that about Emma, who plays Honey, too."
