EXPULSION

EXPULSION

ДНВР

The reasons for expulsion of an applicant for higher education are:

1)     The graduation from the corresponding educational (scientific) programme;

2)     The own desire;

3)     The transfer to the other higher education institution;

4)     The fail to fulfil the individual study plan;

5)     The violation of the conditions of the Agreement (Contract), signed between the higher education institution and the person who studies, or an individual or entity, that pays for the studies;

6)     Other cases, provided for by law.

The applicants for higher education of the 1st year of studies at the 1st (Bachelor’s) or 2nd (Master’s) higher education levels are to expel from the University as those who have not started studies, in case when they were absent on study lectures without a valid reason during the first 10 study days of the first study semester. Projects of Expulsion Orders shall be prepared by the Admissions Commission of the University according to the proposals from faculties/institutes.

The individual study plan is regarded to be failed by the applicant for higher education in case of:

-         Getting the unsatisfactory semester control results: less than 60 points were received as a result of the credit test/exam (“unsatisfactory” mark), or the permission to semester control was not received at least for one educational component because of failure with fulfilment of requirements of the Rating Evaluation System (“not allowed” mark);

-         Getting the unsatisfactory results of the graduation attestation: the Diploma Thesis or Master Dissertation was not submitted to the defence; the permission to pass the State Qualification Exam was not received; less than 60 points were received as the result of the defence or exam;

-         The presence of the academic debt after the end of the provided liquidation period;

-         The unsatisfactory results of the current control (attestation) for 3 or more educational components as a result of 2 controls in a semester.

The failure to perform, or the violation of periods provided for by law to perform the individual plan of a scientific work without a valid reason, could be the reason of the decision of the Academic Council of the University about the expulsion of the doctorate or post-doctorate student.
