EVE Online Server Not Online Due to DDOS Attack

S GAMES A Twitter user who claims to be the group responsible for the significant PSN downtime earlier this month has claimed credit for the EVE server's failure. According to the user, the DDOS is part of a series attacks today that has also been able to shut down the Minecraft login servers as well as The Escapist magazine's website.

CCP issued a Facebook and Twitter update that stated that the issue was under investigation. "EVE Online and the related services are currently unavailable and will be back when possible following investigation of some issues." CCP did not provide further information regarding the issue, but encouraged players to keep an eye for the EVE Twitter and Facebook feeds for new news.
