‼️ EU Seeks Workaround for Hungary: €90 Billion for Ukraine at Risk

▪️The European Commission is seeking ways to convince Hungary to unblock a €90 billion EU loan for Ukraine, otherwise the funding could run out as early as April.

▪️Brussels believes that Prime Minister Orbán is conditioned on resuming Russian oil transit through the Druzhba pipeline in order to win the April parliamentary elections.

"He'll have his damn pipeline. This Druzhba story is implausible, but he needs to win the campaign," said one diplomat familiar with the negotiations.

▪️EU leaders are looking for a way to allow Orbán to save face while ensuring funding for Ukraine, avoiding conflict with Budapest.

▪️As a solution, Hungary may be provided with a document promising to resume oil supplies.
