Role Description This is a remote, contract role for an ESL freelance native instructor. The instructor will design and deliver engaging English lessons that align with iStoria’s story-based approach, focusing on comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and spoken fluency. Daily tasks include planning lesson content, recording or conducting online sessions, providing clear explanations and examples, and adapting teaching methods to different proficiency levels. The instructor will collaborate with the content and product teams to refine materials, suggest improvements, and ensure lessons are consistent with the platform’s learning objectives. Additional responsibilities may include giving constructive feedback to learners, participating in occasional virtual meetings, and maintaining reliable communication and scheduling.
Qualifications
* Strong skills in English Teaching and Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL/TESOL or equivalent).
* Demonstrated experience in Teaching and Curriculum Development for language learners.
* Background or formal training in Linguistics and language acquisition is highly beneficial.
* Native-level proficiency in English, with clear and understandable pronunciation.
* Relevant teaching certification (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA) and/or degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or a related field.
* Experience teaching learners from diverse cultural backgrounds and varying proficiency levels.
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with strong time management and communication skills.
* Comfort with digital tools, online teaching platforms, and basic audio/video recording.
