Shire of Esk

The Shire of Esk was a local government area in South East Queensland, Australia, located about 90 kilometres (56 mi) west – northwest of Brisbane. It stretched from the Lockyer Valley north and west to the Great Dividing Range and up the valley of the Brisbane River. Esk covered an area of 3,936.2 square kilometres (1,519.8 sq mi), and existed from 1879 until its merger with the Shire of Kilcoy to form the Somerset Region on 15 March 2008.

St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Esk

St Andrew's Presbyterian Church is a heritage-listed former Presbyterian church at Ipswich Street, Esk, Somerset Region, Queensland, Australia. The former church was built from 1876 to 1929, and it was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 11 June 2003. Following the 1977 Basis of Union that formed the Uniting Church, the congregation remained affiliated with the Continuing Presbyterian Church who closed the Esk church in c. 2001 and sold the former church building in May 2023.
