IELTS Academic Exam (Academic Writing) is a component of the IELTS test that assesses language skills in English for academic purposes.
The IELTS exam is designed to evaluate English language proficiency that is required for students who are planning to study or work in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and other countries.
This is the only component of IELTS that requires students to write an essay in English.
